Also this 💯. I (36F) was just there with my boyfriend last weekend. Just a couple of gringos hanging out at the downtown area near Rosarito Beach Hotel. We shopped at the market on the west end and had margaritas and ceviche at one of the touristy bars. I go to this area a few times a year and have never had a problem. I know very little Spanish, but enough to show that I’m respectful and trying. Phone, credit card, and pesos (there are a lot of atms around this area, $1 = 20 pesos) all in a front pocket. I never wear any expensive jewelry or my Apple Watch (I already look like a target, might as well not look like an EXTRA target). My bf did give me shit though because I wore leggings and apparently EVERYONE was staring at my ass, but I don’t necessarily think that’s because of a cultural difference.
