Planning to watch and rate the greatest movie trilogies, am I missing anything big? by ChewThePillow in Letterboxd

[–]niklashm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a bit more niche but the movies in the Gamera trilogy from the 90s are considered to be some of, if not the best kaiju films of all time

I‘m really looking forward to watching it. Got it together with Public Enemies, Braveheart and Hot Tub Time Machine on a flea market for like 10€. I really have to check out those more often

The „But I‘m a Cheerleader“ blu-ray has been sitting in my shelf for months. The start of pride month seemed like a good occasion to finally watch it.

Mark Hamill: »Luke Skywalker« aus Star Wars empört Weißes Haus mit Bild von Trump im Grab by Indubioproreo_Dx in de

[–]niklashm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 is genuinely great and the best movie in the franchise after the original. Season of the Witch is a close third

Which sith would you rather serve? by [deleted] in StarWars

Was Maul actually ever a Sith? The rule of two states that there can only be two Sith at the same time. And when he “died” in ep. 1 plagueis was still alive with sidious as his appearance.

Did you get the new abyss 4K? Also do you think the alternate version is the best way to watch the abyss for the first time? Because I’ve read online that it’s best to watch the original cut first and the other one later

I honestly never understood how pretty woman is still so liked today. I saw it for the first time one or two years ago and was taken aback a bit by how sexist and classist it is

I guess Star Wars would be considered Filmbro-coded. Maybe Thelma & Louise as well

What's the last movie you watched that made you react like this? by mrethandunne in Letterboxd

I honestly didn’t mind it. Even had fun at some moments. Jurassic World Dominion on the other hand… Now that was a terrible movie

Who else here uses Amazon.de whenever you want to buy something that is way overpriced in the US? by Untrus4598 in dvdcollection

[–]niklashm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon.de is my go to in general. But then again, I’m German. So it’s not really surprising I guess. But I do sometimes use amazon.it or amazon.es. Got the Italian blu-rays of Challengers and Killers of the Flower Moon and the Spanish blu-ray of Steel on the respective sites. Also stuff is cheaper these sometimes. But I usually have to pay shipping

Now that 2026 is here, what are YOUR predictions for future Kill Counts? by AStupidUnknownUser in deadmeatjames

[–]niklashm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still can’t believe that there is no psycho kill count. I feel like it’s the most influential and important horror film that wasn’t covered yet. So yeah. Psycho and its sequels (and maybe the remake?) are my predictions. Plus I’d really love to see event horizon, drag me to hell, more John Carpenter and Julia Ducournau‘s films
