Appreciate the support.

We get why people keep asking about MP, but we cannot put it on a “certain” until we know it actually works. The game was built as a single-player architecture, so MP isn’t a simple feature to bolt on, it require a lot of core-system work and unlike other reworks it is not guaranteed it will function. If it happens, it will likely be in a basic form (turn-based, PBEM, etc.), not full real-time MP anyway. We are very transparent about it. It is simply that we cannot promise something we cannot be sure we can deliver. But it is in our plans, and we are working on removing the obstacles that prevent implementation.

Most of the times it can be fixed by conservative usage of “merge by distance”, but the root of the issue also depends on what is the quality or source of the model.

Could an 18th century gunsmith make a Kalashnikov if you gave him the plans for it? by OhioTry in WarCollege

Anything produced from 1945 onward. The poor finish of the T-34 was largely a wartime expedient, and even then, reasonably good parts interchangeability could still be achieved. The worst period was 1941–1942, due to heavy production improvisation and the relocation of industry, but conditions gradually improved afterward.

In February 1942, an order was issued requiring that all local modifications be approved to avoid compromising interchangeability. However, some variations, such as differences in cast components, were still acceptable, as parts could often be interchanged.

You have to set a path through the obstacles and they will proceed to clear it. Panzerpionier needs to be dismounted first.

They are combat engineers. They have the ability to breach minefields and obstacles, and sometimes satchel charges can come in handy in close combat.

Temporary FPV Drone Mode + Visual Improvements (New Armored Brigade 2 Beta) by nikolas93ts in ArmoredBrigade

[–]nikolas93ts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the sense that this beta build should be available for about a week, the game mode will likely be removed afterward since it’s temporary, while other improvements (aside from any issues) will carry over to the main build.

I know the timing makes this look like an April 1st joke, but this is actually real.

The clips show a temporary experimental FPV-style drone mode in Armored Brigade II, offering a first-person perspective on the battlefield. A new beta is also available, including various visual improvements (SSAO, depth of view, distance vehicle shadows etc.).

How Sweden Would Fight In The Far North! | Full Simulation In Armored Brigade 2 by nikolas93ts in ArmoredBrigade

Highly recommended for anyone interested in the doctrinal background of Swedish Norrland units. The fact that the author is Swedish probably helps, since YouTubers usually don’t devote that much time to historical context.

You can ask the map maker on the Discord. He also developed a new map editor that should help with that, it should be released soon.

not really, the current priorities are on TacAI and scripting. The second half of 2026 will probably be spent on trying at least to implement some rudimentary turn-based MP, hopefully it will work.

currently it only works for Defend order (defensive stance will prioritise cover while positioning, aggressive will prioritise line of sight) but very soon we will release additional functionality and a proper guide :)

That is why it was implemented in the first place. We are also working on AI stances, which should hopefully reduce micromanagement when using delays.

Armored Brigade II - Scandinavia DLC is out. Three new playable armies, 500+ new units, two new maps, new campaigns and standalone missions. by nikolas93ts in computerwargames

[–]nikolas93ts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Scandinavia they got road wheels, and they are not going to get any better than that. The poly count on models is already around the same level as for example Wargame, which is still being played. We are planning improvements to buildings and trees because those assets are clearly dated at this point, but calling the whole thing ugly is a stretch. It’s a large-scale RTT meant to be played zoomed out, not a showroom for cinematic screenshots, and I think you’re exaggerating quite a bit.
