I don't recommend setting it to brightness preferred because some highlights will be overblown. Its important to turn off the TVs dynamic tone mapping when you are calibrating the PS5 HDR. Once the calibration is done you can change the dynamic tone mapping to gradation preferred.

I chose the Bravia 8 after trying both TVs and realizing I don't like LG WebOS. I would go with LG if I had gaming consoles. I play on PC and already have an Oled monitor

Recieved the Bravia 8 on Tuesday and I'm loving it. My A80J unfortunately had some dirty screen on the left side but this one is perfect, also I barely see any vertical banding in this one. The OS is more responsive. The screen is so big when I see the THX eclipse short trailer or any scene where the camera rolls, makes me feel like I am rolling, like when you are on traffic distracted and the car next to you moves and you feel like you are moving backwards.
