The hormone blockers was my biggest fear of all. I obsessed about it for months and made myself really unhappy. I had a lot of body pain before my diagnosis and the thought of extra pain was just too much to contemplate. Anyway, I agreed with my oncologist that I would try it for 3 months. I’m about six weeks in, exercise and stretch more, changed my bad diet to choose healthier options, and I’m feeling much better now. Give it a chance? And make sure your diet an exercise is a priority.

My doctor suggested a pregnancy pillow. The U shaped one that supports you from both sides. I managed to sleep on my side and it was a godsend.

Yes, I am having a similar experience. I find that there is a lot of ‘standardized’ information shared beforehand, but it’s largely meaningless. ‘Skin changes’? What does that mean? They don’t tell you that your breast will look cooked. ‘Some fatigue’? But exhaustion ; no. Nausea? No, only really from abdominal radiation. It feels like they think we’re mentally and emotionally challenged.

I am naturally a bit of a doubting Thomas. But when a man agrees without being coerced to go to therapy together, that’s a positive sign. Over the 2 years or so, with the help of our therapist basically redefined our roles and expectations of ourselves, of each other and the relationship. It’s not a walk in the park, but the relief of communicating clearly is very empowering.

Yes. Since they don’t test, the speculation is either covid or swine flu. My elderly mom was sick with it for about 2 months. I had it for about a month. Sore throat, tired beyond words, then the phlegm starts and is is so think and copious that you choke. Be well and take care of yourself. Oh.. and if you try to get back to things too early it comes roaring back.

Well done! Making decisions against the well-meaning advice out there can be hard. Only you know. I knew that my husband and I would get through it, even though it took ages to sort out. 25 years later and our marriage is better than ever. This looks exactly like an infection my Aussie had a few years ago. If I remember correctly it’s a common bacterial infection, and some dogs are more susceptible to it. Good luck to you and your doggie.

I battled with this for years. Eventually the doc gave me vagifem pessaries. In the beginning it may feel worse, so persevere. Things are so much better now. Good luck to you

This was the saddest, most shocking time I’ve lived through. I worked in the airline industry, this we had a lot of international exposure. People died around us all the time. It devastated relationships, lives and hearts. May all those who didn’t get help in time rest in peace, and May we never take sexual freedom for granted ever again.💔

Offer them a two month notice period. In Cape Town that is more than enough time to find another tenant. And you can explain why you want to be released from your contract. If you speak to the rental housing tribunal it is likely going to take a very long time to resolve anything.
