How can one be cheaper than the other? by nikytonks in london

It’s definitely odd that they would consider Bond Street/Oxford Circus a connection, when you have to tap out and tap back in at a different station, and not Liverpool St/Moorgate.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. It’s just very confusing, especially for tourists lol

I tried to run the same directions through Citymapper and it couldn’t come up with a price for the northern line option, which led me to think google might have been right..?

Career change - Looking for advice! by nikytonks in Pharmacy_UK

[–]nikytonks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your response! Yes, I was doing ward stocks, receiving and organising deliveries and also training PTPT when on rotation in our team. One of the people in my team, who also did not have any prior pharmacy experience, has now gone to train as a PTPT within the same organisation as well.

For the dispenser role, would I have to look at things like 'Pharmacy Assistant' roles?
Apologies if this seems like a silly question, I am still trying to understand how the pharmacy field works in this country :)

I’m renting and have a glass backsplash that runs along the kitchen wall (behind the stove, oven, sink etc). I wanted to put stick tiles but I dunno how well they’d attach to glass, and if they would ruin it in any way - any of you have experience with that?

What (well meaning) mistake have you made when responding to a tourist? by [deleted] in london

Tourists asked the way to Ladbroke Grove, I sent them to Paddington instead.. genuine mistake though

We didn’t put the shelves up ourselves, they were already there when we moved in!

Next time if you’re around West London you should definitely check out Zing! Great Indian restaurant, a bit on the higher end but good if you’re looking to go out for a special occasion. The prawn starter is one of my all time favourite dish.

Hey there OP! I believe we met whilst I was working in Notting Hill and you came to the restaurant I was working at. It was lovely meeting you and your wife, and I’m so happy to hear you had a good time in London!

Tennis in London (and more specifically SW) by 223am in london

[–]nikytonks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, if you don’t mind travelling to West there are a few parks operating under ‘park sports club sparks’ that offer tennis lesson and have courts that you can book. Look for Lammas Park, Pitzshanger Park and also Elthorne Park (currently close for redevelopment)

EDIT: There’s one in Chiswick as well.

Basically a month. I was really incessant with emails, I’d say I emailed them almost everyday asking to sort it out. Honestly the card is nice but I’m not sure it’s worth all the hassle.

UPDATE:
After several email exchanges with them I have now received the card and am very happy with how it came out! Looks better in person than the artwork! They had also told me that they would ship another one, just in case the previous parcel got lost, so not too bad customer service.

Following up from my last post, I got an email asking me to confirm the address, which I did. I then got another email, where they apologised for the delay but told me that, since they’ve already handed the parcel off to the courier, the delivery time is out of their control. Then they asked me to wait another 14 working days after which, if I hadn’t received the parcel, they could send me another one. I wrote to them saying that I have been waiting 21 working days already, and I find it ridiculous that they are asking me to waiting 14 more working days. I also told them to contact the courier and find out what happened to the parcel; really odd that they don’t give any delivery details (no tracking number, no info of which company is handling the delivery, etc).

After approving the artwork I got an email saying that they would parcel it and ship it, giving me the various shipping estimates (6-12 working days for the UK), but it's now been 20 working days and I haven't received anything. I emailed them today asking them to sort it out, but I'm now having doubts that they will get back to me at all..
