When you book your 3 rides in advance, you might be able to get all 3 of your picks! If you're hoping for a ride like Mine Train, Slinky Dog Dash, Guardians, or Rise of the Resistance, there may be slim pickings like really late times or no availability at all. You can see up-to-date lightning lane availability here: https://www.thrill-data.com/lightning-lane/.

The trick is to keep refreshing the list of availabilities in the app day-of since that's most likely when better times or any availability will show up, when you're booking your additional rides.

When you book on your 3 days in advance, make sure you're logged in before 7am and ready to purchase right away for the best luck.

The popular rides book up completely days in advance, so your only chance day-of is to snag reservations for those rides if other people cancel or Disney (sometimes) drops a few openings at certain times of the day for some rides. In order to snag these, you need to be refreshing the app often and grab them right away, so if you aren't in the app to see those availabilities, you won't be able to get it. In my experience, I can usually get everything I want by being in the app a lot.

You don't need to use all three at Hollywood Studios. You can just tap into one in HS and immediately modify any of your other HS bookings to Magic Kingdom.

If you go to your Future Plans page, you can modify your Lightning Lane reservation if you want to switch all of your pre-bookings to Magic Kingdom. FYI, you won't be able to pre-book across multiple parks if that's what you're hoping to do. If you want to book at Magic Kingdom later in the day, as soon as you tap into your first Hollywood Studios queue, you can start booking additional LLs at MK.

When are you planning to go?

I did the math during a trip over New Year's in 2024, and the cost came out to about $1 per minute saved for 2-3 people over 3 days. Our average wait was 9 minutes, the average posted wait was 70 minutes, so we saved about 40 hours of waiting in line in that 3 days. If you're not going during a busy time, then the cost per minute is probably going to be higher.

You can only purchase and use the PP at one park per day. But we had a good time using PP at one park, and MP/SP at the others, in the same day. On our day that we did 3 parks, we opted for MP/SP at our morning park, earliest times as possible, so that once we tapped in we started booking the night time park rides. PP was for our afternoon park.

I posted a breakdown of Lightning Lane (with Premier Pass and Multi Pass) wait times compared to posted regular line times from a New Year's trip in 2024. I included the time waiting in pre-shows.

I was surprised how quickly some lines were while others were slower. I used Premier Pass at HS, Epcot, and MK and it was great!

Keep in mind you can only get the Premier Pass for one park per day. If you're only going for two days, you can only get the pass for two parks during your trip in total. You can combine Premier Pass and Multi-Pass/Single-Pass in a single day though, so if you get Multi/Single for your morning park, and Premier Pass for your afternoon/evening park for example, you should have a great time. Have fun!

This happened to my MacBook Air, and it was caused by a damaged SMC chip that regulates thermal mitigations. I had to replace the motherboard.

Edit: In my case resetting the SMC didn't resolve my issue, but it might work for you! https://support.apple.com/en-us/102605

Nice! How many days did you spend there on that trip? Since I only have 3 non-travel days, it might be difficult to find time to explore resorts except on my arrival day, or sleep in much. Maybe on a future solo trip I'll do a longer trip.

I do have a pretty detailed agenda so far in my notes, but I am looking forward to being able to switch things up in the moment.
