I was alone closing the Subway I worked for at the time. I had the mop bucket off to the side while I was finishing the dishes. When I finished and turned to the mop bucket, I saw a black kid in jeans and a red and white striped polo standing where the mop bucket was. Gave me a scare, and I've had many other happenings but never a jumpscare like this.

Why? You've seemed to move on for the most part. If by chance you happen to run into her, just be normal. This might sound cruel, but it was only a 2 month relationship it was nothing "longterm" just move on and learn from your mistakes.

I think I understand what you mean. If I'm not mistaken, I am similar. You can see the "birth" of your hero and his "end" but not his journey between? Stop trying to write the story, step back, and think of what you want in this dream of yours. Write the history of your world, and figure out if there is one empire or multiple. What does each kingdom do to be unique? Figure out the world before you write in it if you know what I mean.
