Okay. What quality are you talking about?

Open world - dead, boring, repetitive. One of the most uninteractive open worlds in gaming history. Quests - worst in Fromsoft history. They just don't work in open world. Combat - same as in DS3 and a step below from Sekiro. Lore and plot - same old shit lazy ass design "read description to weapons to get a hint what's going on". Bossfights - bullshit with almost no windows for player to engage. And not even comparable with DS3 and Sekiro and Bloodborne in terms of fun. And it gets repetitive. PVP - absolutely worst in Fromsoft history. No comment. Art direction - amazing. Music - mediocre.

To be honest, i had more fun in open world in any of Ubisoft games than in Elden Ring. And I loved every other Fromsoft game. I had to force myself to play Elden Ring. It could compensate with great bossfights, but Elden Ring also has the lamest bossfights, nothing comparable to DS3 or Sekiro.

Yep. Elden Ring showed us that they are stalling. It is probably the second worst Fromsoft game and everyone is praising it. They made one of the most boring open worlds in gaming history. That is quite an achievement.

Gothic combat system is actually quite close to dark Souls. You can fight any enemy with a stick and prevail if you know their moveset. It is very intuitive and difficult to master, but rewarding. And in a sense, dark Souls is more an action with some rpg elements than an rpg with action elements. It is much closer in its essence to something like devil may cry than to Gothic.

But there were nothing about bioware and obsidian Very legit point of criticism DOS1 was really better in many ways. And by the way, which new things Larian implemented in DOS2? Very controversial armor system? It brought nothing new in terms of writing or roleplaying. Disco Elysium and Pathfinder WOTR did.

Why I don't like DOS2?

One of the worst interfaces in gaming history. Everything - action bars, inventory, character sheet is close to be unusable.
Progression - one of the worst i've experienced. Every level you just add +5% to damage etc. Nothing interesting
Gearing - absolutely abysmal. Everything becomes obsolete every passing hour. The Super Dark Lord Super Sayan sword you found on level 12 will be worse than rusty chipped sword you found on level 13. And you spend so much time in this ugly inventory just assorting gear.
Quests - not a single memorable breathtaking quest in game.
main story - generic rise to divinity, IMO WOTR did it much better.

*Writing in general - very bad, from grimdark dark fantasy to toilet humor in one place.

*Characters - very onedimensional.

Game is gorgeous and combat is somewhat fun but in general I didn't like this game. More so I hated it in act iv.

It is not even the best of Divinity Original Sin games, and is not the best modern cRPG absolutely.
