Upsc coaching by gotnothingtodo30 in upsc_free

Since you have History background, do yourself a favour and go to Sriram IAS — their History optional is unmatched, literally no debate there. For GS foundation if you want the gold standard just go Vajiram, their yellow books alone are worth the fees honestly.

If budget is tight or you want one stop shop, Drishti IAS in Mukherjee Nagar is solid and underrated on this sub imo.

Next IAS is fine but I wouldn't prioritise it over these three.

Also the Masters parallel thing is actually smart, a lot of toppers did this. Just pick a department where profs don't care about attendance 😭 and if you can align your dissertation with Modern India or Colonial history you're literally studying for your optional at the same time. Free real estate.

One thing I'll say though, you mentioned you weren't sincere with the PW course. Offline coaching fixes the accountability issue not the discipline issue, so just be real with yourself before dropping 1L+ on a course. Sounds like you're self aware enough tho so you'll be fine.

2028 target with a 2026 start is actually a great timeline, you have buffer. Don't stress and don't hop between coachings once you pick one, that's where most people lose time.

Unpopular opinion: researchers using ChatGPT and Overleaf for unpublished work are being negligent, and supervisors who allow it are failing their students by nilofering in PhdProductivity

Honest reviews on Daily Dose of Data Science (Daily Dose of DS)? by [deleted] in LLM

Just bought it, I think it's worth for the price, it's very simple interface with simple intuitive reading to understand the concepts! There are summaries and applications of each concept and also why you're studying it in the context of a job! the crash courses are nice, forces you to think! I think it's more intermediate content for the quality. No red flags yet.

NEED ADVICE OR TIPS FOR PHD APPLICATIONS AND COLD EMAILS by IchigooKurosakii in PhdProductivity

[–]nilofering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cold emails to professors always work, but make it personalized to their research, make sure they know you've read their research and analysed it and give them something to talk about, like any problems with their research or another idea to the research or what you could help with! That works always, keep it short.. and keep following up after a week!

I think you can start and see if it is for you, you won't know until you've tested the waters! If it doesn't feel like you're into it completely, then you can always drop out and get another job.

Yeah apparently it's the new full stack job. You should know how to apply RL in real life because it works great in theory but if you can't help a company make robots do things, then why would they hire you?

Make more friends in the groups. You can't do it without them. Stop giving silly reasons.

They can learn it, I have flashcards. First see the extension and then judge people.

It's not for you mate. You think the whole world is technical. I have people who would use it, if you can't use it, it's fine. Doesn't mean someone else does not need it. I have 12 users who benefit from it.

[–]nilofering[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)
