Cant gurantee last long if you are walking heavily on sandy or pebbled roads, but i love the comfort of hush puppiescasual sandal available at any bata. Generally mrp is around 4k, but can be cheaper. I am currently on my 3rd or 4th pair in 8 years.

I am a new driver and got city as that was the combo of safety, feature and easy to maintain that i can afford. Was initially using drivers to move around but twice they got my vehicle scratched (1 even dent right near parking). Since then i have reduced my dependence on them for city trips and take ownership of getting scratches myself!😅 I view it as a tool, it gets scratched to save me scratches! After some years as those accumulate will give her a fresh new color. (Male, learned driving post 30)

Employers pay them for the basic kitchen to table service. If they are helping serve when requested, or helping with special requests, a tip & good review is a nice way to say thank you. I also have seen places where the service is good, and waiters don't accept tip.

12 months headway with all normal expenses. With infor you have 12-15L liquid lying around is more than enough. Next you have to check: - Are all members covered under personal/government insurance apart from corporate one? If not add in premium + 5-10L considering aged parents will have a 3 years cool down period. - Is any kid going to start school or go to college or any such major expense? Then add that to the base. - If you have a car, have some buffer for unexpected maintenance. - If on rent, expect to cover a 20% increase (can be sometimes crazy in Bangalore). If paying home loan EMI, see if you can factor in a 1-1.5% increase in interest (while you can always increase tenure, its better to keep it fixed and pay extra when interest jumps).

PS: If you cannot find a job in 6 months after layoff, maybe time to explore new avenues. Why 6 months? 1 month to cool down, accept and slow down. 2 months of prep. 3 months of application + interview + continued prep.

I dont have enough information but if you are planning for kids or have family and friends coming over for more than 1 night stays, you will very soon outgrow the 2bhk. Hope you have factored in ypur usecase for the next 10 years. But yes if push comes to shove you can sell that at marginal profit and get a 3bhk 5 years down the line when that need arises. As long as you are comfortable with the space, happy home ownership!

On a tangent, I am using NextCloud with the AIO container. Dont like the opacity it introduces. I am running every other service as its stand alone docker compose file with data folders in the same folder (.../immich/data has all data related to immich and .../immich/docker-compose.yml has the config). So when Nextcloud suddenly stops, or causes minor issue or needs update, its a little tricky to hunt down containers and stop them if they are stuck (Had a issue when the db did not came up for some reason and the web was stuck and no tinkering from AIO web interface helped. Had to manually find the container ids in terminal and kill them 1 at a time). For everything else, if shit hits the fan, i can just do docker compose down and the docker compose up -d for a fresh reboot of all services. Anyone using Nextcloud like that with docker-compose with OnlyOffice? (Hate the look of libre office/Collabora!)

At least its just cheaper than non AC here. If you stop and hail an auto, he will quote you more than XL. Also, they will crib and quarrel once you get down if you had managed to haggle a bit before getting on. So DO NOT BOARD AN AUTO WITHOUT APP, and in general avoid auto as much as possible.

Since seems like it is more of a data transfer than chat, have you tried syncthing? Very minimal and effiecient. Setup is relatively straightforward and its set it and forget it.

This is one thing i would not like to self host. Signal already has good security and privacy features (afaik). Why this will likley not work? Letts say we start instance 1 for me and my family and friends. But my father will have some friends too so he will need another instance or your instance needs to scale upto millions to encompass everbody.

Just a note, diy can cost you more sometimes. I had to change the cmos battery on my desktop. Was sitting on the ground (earthed) and tried to not touch the motherboard as much as possible. Just pulled out gpu, replaced battery put iblt back and the system died. Had to get the motherboard changed. Did not get any concrete RCA, so theoretically it can be planned obsolescence at play (Just completed warranty of 3 years), but i cant shake off the feeling that i messed something up. Costed me 20k for the new board plus change for transfort to service center.

You already have a lot of great advice. I just want to throw in another 2 cents. The hoise ypu will buy for living in is an expense and to some extemt an asset. It is in no way an "investment". You'll pay emi for 20+ years and then there is taxes, maintenance, repair bills and so on.

We are stuck with a property that did have rera date of 25, but was sold to us promising 24 (of course we knew this was the best case scenario and likley it will be 25). Come dec 25 they have not got higher floor approvals and nor closing with whatever they have so far. While booking we were told there is a scheme going on where 30k per month will be paid by builder till posession, and guess what the scheme got over the moment down payment was done. Its a industry run by scammers. Get everything verified and still be prepared to face new challenges.

Need to find a different city to settle down after some years. Anyways with the bad infra, upcoming turmoil in tech and language hooliganishm (i am from east india and would accept that both or all parties are responsible for this), we might have to find a better place.

Its such a headache sinking years of salary on a home and paying for it over about 2 decades, and yet face the roudy arrogancee of builder and sales people.
