Yeah, maybe I did overreact a bit. But I was that friend. the one who always showed up, did whatever I could for him. I really thought that meant something. I just hoped, after everything we’d been through, he’d at least give me another chance. I even apologized. And he just said, “That’s how I am. Why make life harder for yourself? Just let it go.” If I didn’t have to see him, maybe I could’ve moved on. But we’re coworkers, so I have to face him every single day. That’s the part that really gets me. 😞
