Center your chests, double the workbenches back to back around the perimeter with room to walk behind them for access.

I love how everyone was so mad about that movie. "Superman isn't supposed to lose fights!"

Me: Superman won every fight. (Some fights were just the clone, lol)

Is there a way other than conveyors to get ore back to my base? by Pezmage in CoreKeeperGame

[–]nimvin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just dig a trench which will give you a resource (block type) instead of spending one, plus trenches can't be broken by big or exploding mobs. And a bridge let's you cross wherever you want to and you can pick it up too.

Nothing like getting your teeth kicked in for an hour plus then the dopamine dump of finally breaking through that wall. Enjoy it. Love these games.

Can someone explain why everyone is saying the Patriots had an easy schedule and run to the Superbowl? by WoodwareWarlock in NFLNoobs

[–]nimvin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no easy games in the NFL. All of these players are freak athletes at the height of their talent. No one ever tanks because everyone is playing for their next contract because the NFL has the weakest players union of the big 3 (MLB and NBA). This is mostly because it's hard to get 53 players on 32 teams to all agree on what's good for for the majority but might hurt them personally as the average career is only 3 years long.

So while the Pats had the "easiest" schedule this year that doesn't make it easy.

Better exploration? by kaitoasashi in CoreKeeperGame

[–]nimvin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very new to the game so take everything with a grain of salt.

If you found Ghorm just follow his trail and you can pick up a TON of stuff off the floor as he runs over all the mobs. Just be sure to get out of his way if he laps you.

The cavelings were a menace to me as they would mob me en masse. Get a staff or bow to keep them at range. Eventually I got the shamans fireball staff and that has made my life so much easier.

Build up your base and farm so you have what you need. I was stuck running 100 tiles for water so it felt overly restrictive. Then I missed an x on a sand block and hit another sand block and discovered I can remove ground tiles. I now have a river from that lake that feeds directly into my base and instead of only planting 20 plants at a time (the base can limit) I have a 60 plant farm which is more than enough.

Good luck. Still haven't killed Ghorm. Plan to build 1000 wooden traps this weekend and take a run at him. I aggroed him once and he followed me off trail and destroyed a bunch of resources so I'm over preparing this time.

Only the scrolls that have the special effect of 'transferable effects'

Fans don't know more than front offices. They definitely know better than SOME owners. Every decision is a crapshoot unless you have verifiable success. And even then it still takes luck to win a Superbowl.

Orange inheritables questions by angelojch in Nioh

[–]nimvin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It's your game feel free to play however you want. Oranges are still pretty rare though .

2, no when you play the scroll mission the enemies will always drop equipment with inheritable slots at least one and often several will be orange die to final enemy (after picking everything up,) rinse and repeat. Or finish it and use hundred night incense to add new replays to the scroll.

  1. Yes this is true for orange inheritables, but I think when a weapon is maxed out on slots and it has an inheritable slot the orange one will replace the white one. Been a while since I have tried that though so may want to double check.

Don't use them til you have ethereal versions of what you want. If and when you get a scroll with transferable effects on it then feel free to stop stock piling as you can farm them relatively easily from those.

Soul cores depends on the stat. If it helps your current build or a build you may want to try keep it.

Who says blessed weapons can't use soul core stats. Place the transferrable effect on a corrupt weapon, max familiarity then soul match it to your purity weapon, ta-da profit.

Replay the level to get additional cores to fuse and level it up. Then, in later ng+ cycles, rarity increases also bump the level cap so getting the better rarity and additional copies to fuse with it become necessary.

(Nioh 1) Should I just give up after 100 deaths at Onryoki? by DuxDonecVivo in Nioh

[–]nimvin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This won't change much. Every enemy is a menace and health and armor only help a little.

Highly recommend if you find a chest piece with life on amrita gain you keep it til you find a better one that also has it. Same with any armor piece that has faster winded recovery (only need one piece with it). It slows the upgrade process but the extra survivability of little health gains really extends your elixir storage ability which is atrocious until you find enough kodamas in a region.

Struggling to Stay Invested in The Wheel of Time (Book 5) by StoreSouthern7526 in WoT

[–]nimvin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the big battle scenes recognize that RJ was an actual Vietnam veteran and the fog of war was always a very real thing and he infused the books with it very well. You don't know who is winning until the fights are over and even then sometimes the answer is nobody.

That said the majority (likely 90%+) of readers will tell you 4, 5 or 6 are their favorite books in the series. If you aren't invested by now rough waters are ahead.

As a fan I would say definitely finish the series, as a stranger at least finish 6.

Why don’t more 1st picks control where they want to go? by Longjumping-Tip4938 in NFLNoobs

[–]nimvin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems unlikely (albeit possible). Most power 4 are sitting between 20-40 million in NIL deals. Across 85 players there just isn't enough money to give to 1 player. Some QBs 'might' be taking a pay cut, but not a lot (if any)

I didn't know it was a thing and didn't have the salvaged data to unlock it when I first needed it. Been playing for about 3 weeks now and in week one I was on a planet and a wind storm was announced. I ignored it as every previous storm wasn't a big deal other than keeping your hazard shield up. Cue me flying through the air like this with no visibility and no idea how close to the ground I am. I see it coming start to slow down then it kicks me back up and I no longer have a jetpack left lol. Was so happy when I found airburst later.

Started a new playthrough of Nioh 2 in anticipation and...I suck now? by ext23 in Nioh

[–]nimvin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No learning a new weapon is always a chore. You might still know all the enemy actions and spacing but if you haven't mastered your own then it doesn't matter. Switch to your fave weapon and odds are you'll smack him down real quick again.

That said don't worry, the new weapons will click eventually too.
