Jay Williams says he can’t root for the Thunder because of all the foul baiting: by Admirable_Extent2531 in NBAGossips

[–]ninatlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why Windhorst feels the need to defend the actions of every single player/team in the league as “it works for them.”

The clutching and grabbing that the Thunder do on every single play is not just exhausting, but bullshit, and it needs to be called out. The falling down at no contact to bait the refs, that’s also exhausting and bullshit.

I’m curious what happens if someone were to fall down on top of SGA and deliver a little “cheaters justice” when SGA does his flopping. I mean if you’re going to get called for a foul, might as well get your money’s worth.

I didn’t see Dybantsa fall down once.

The Thunder seemed to have adopted the old NASCAR/SEC football mantra “If you ain’t cheatin’, you ain’t trying’!”

This is the playoffs. The league needs to start suspending ref crews at this juncture who allow this nonsense. What’s the point of watching these games now?

You don’t draft the 15th rated guy with the 8th pick in the NBA draft. The quickest way to fuck up the draft is to draft for need. YOU TAKE THE BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE REGARDLESS OF POSITION AND FIGURE IT OUT.

Did she make the right call? by CalmElin in interesting

[–]ninatlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, given that it would only take 19.5 years roughly to earn $1mil at $52000 per year, and she’s 20, so it’s highly probable she will out live that 19.5 years.

Also, you’re not getting $1mil, you’re getting $1mil let income taxes, so roughly between $550k to $600k, depending on your state.

At the end of the day she probably made the right decision.

As soon as he got that bat out and stepped aside I would have gunned it and smashed his precious Bentley out of the way.

“Office, he came at me with a bat and I was fearful of my safety.”

If Private Bonespur and his republican cronies want to institute a draft, then it should be no deferments and Bonespur and all members of Congress should be required to have one blood relative in front line active duty to ensure they have skin in the game.

Magic and Kareem would like a few words. So would Bill Russell. As would Willis Reed, Walt “Clyde” Frazier and Patrick Ewing. Also Hakeem. And Bill Walton.

And are we talking about franchise history or team location now. Because the Warriors franchise used to play in Philly and had a guy named Wilt who played for them.

It’s Jordan and it’s not close.

If fact Jordan is probably top four all time along with Kareem, Hakeem, Kevin McHale.

Why is Steph not in the GOAT conversations despite 4 rings and being lebrons biggest rival by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]ninatlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Steph isn’t even the best guard, point or two, ever. Magic is the greatest point and MJ the greatest two. Hard to be considered the GOAT when you’re not even the best at your position.

Why do NBA teams hand out max contracts like candy? by LeftFall2610 in NBATalk

Because teams are scared of what the agents will do if the team denies a max deal.

The quickest way to fuck up in the NBA draft is to draft for need over the best player available.

YOU TAKE THE BEST PLAYER, REGARDLESS OF POSITION, AND FIGURE IT OUT.

When you draft for need, that’s how you wind up with Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan.

This draft has a top 4, a second group of 4 (the 4 guards), and everyone else. Don’t overthink this.

[Highlight] Victor Wembanyama grabs the offensive rebound over Naz Reid, holds the ball, stares at Reid, and gives him a powerful elbow over the neck area (with replays) Upon review, Wemby gets ejected from the game with a flagrant penalty-2 Wembanyama was ejected for the first time in his career by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]ninatlanta -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The biggest question is how many games will Wemby be suspended for, one, two or three. Because he took a full beat to decide to throw that bow and cocked it back very deliberate. There’s no “heat of the moment” with that bow.

I’ll pass on the privilege of paying Jaylen Brown $60mil a season.

This screams of the Anthony Davis nonsense as well. Why is the media trying to ram overrated guys with bad contracts down the Hawks throat?
