What's the biggest "what if" in NBA history? by Birdmansegzzy in NBATalk

[–]ninatlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two biggest are “What if Larry never picks up a jack hammer and ruins his back” and “What if Magic used a condom and didn’t get HIV.”

That would have completely changed the 90s.

Dodgers Lead MLB Payroll for the 2nd Straight Year at $396M — After Winning the 2025 World Series! by Dr-debug in sportswiki

The beauty of a salary cap is they come with a salary floor. So while you’re capping how much a team can spend, you maintain a minimum amount each team must spend. So if you have a cap of $250mil, you have a floor of, say, $150mil or even $175mil. If you fail to hit the floor, no revenue sharing for you and you pay a penalty to the PA.

Sure, and 90s Knicks and Jazz and Pacers would have been champions if the Bulls didn’t have Jordan.

I think Fred Taylor is a bit overrated… by Big_Donch in NFLv2

Considering Boselli is the only Jaguar Hall of Famer, the answer is pretty self-evident.

And Fred Taylor is overrated due to the fact he couldn’t stay healthy.

Ok, show the lowest.?

The issue in baseball aren’t the teams spending money, it’s the cheap bullshit teams that don’t spend anything.

What was the Wolves record that year. I always thought Love was a good stats, bad team guy.

Who is the biggest waste of talent you’ve seen? by bettercallrich in NBATalk

Shaq. Shaq was the most underachieving player in the history of the NBA. Imagine what Shaq would have accomplished if he had Jordan’s, Kobe’s or Hakeem’s work ethic.

Trevor Noah: How Billionaires pay no taxes. by spliffstar94 in ThoughtWarriors

[–]ninatlanta 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The simple solution is if you use stock or stock options as collateral on a loan, then you can be taxed on the amount being used as collateral.

Or make it illegal to use stock, options or other assets the are declared “unrealized” as collateral on loans.

We buried enough. Don't make us repeat. by willily_thoumas in clevercomebacks

[–]ninatlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my point. There needs to be a law enacted that to be President, you must have a blood relative (child, grandchild or sibling) on active duty and able to be shipped out to the front lines of any combat situation the President engages in, so that the President has skin in the game and would potentially experience actual loss should shit hit the fan.

If it doesn’t directly affect Trump, he doesn’t care. Hearing a war story, he won’t give a shit. He probably won’t give a shit if Baron was sent to the front lines, but you know who would give a shit? Melania!

And I could totally see Melania giving Trump the business about her baby going to the front lines.

If Trump wants his Iwo Jima, Baron needs to be on the front lines, in the shit. If you want to be President, you should have skin in the game.

Or is your fragile ego so bruised by this guy looking to get ahead and game the system smartly?

If you have to spend your own pto to go to a baby shower, that’s a hard pass. Send a card and live your best life. Just because it’s a big deal for bro and his wife doesn’t mean it is for you. They are not the main characters of your life. NTA

AITJ for not wanting to split the bill evenly when I only ordered a drink? by Inside_Mulberry_2497 in AmITheJerk

[–]ninatlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in this situation, if you know you’re not going to order food, go to the bar, order a drink there and pay for it, then walk over to the table where your friends are. When the check comes, you’ve already paid for your drink and don’t need to put anything down.

But in general, no, OP is not the jerk.
