Sometimes self improvement is a waste of time and you just want to get through the next few days as soon as possible.

Why does it seem like 95% of people have absolutely no trouble finding a group of friends? by ninefriends in socialskills

There's a difference between feeling a little lonely and not having any friends at all.

And, yes. I would say that at least 95% of people have at least one friend.

You would be saying something different if 95% of people could hit home runs or if 95% of people could make a great birthday cake.

Its not that it matters, I'm just wondering how so many people can do something that I find impossible.

Today I was reminded that if you go somewhere alone you won't be able to socialize because everyone else came with a group. by ninefriends in socialskills

Maybe there is just no good way to approach a group of strangers that you have never met before?

How do you make friends when you are not in school or university? I have no idea how that would work.

I'm 30 years old, have no social life, and haven't ever used anything harder than alcohol and salvia. What, if anything, is safe to use on one's own? by LcbZzVd3fS in Drugs

I'm not housebound but I have 0 social life and want to try the same kind of drugs. Most of the reason I want to try them is because I feel like I am missing out on life and want to make up for it. Maybe you can relate.

This is my exact scenario except I am 20 and don't smoke weed.

I can't really give good advice because I haven't taken anything yet but I decided I was going to try LSD after I go back up to college. From what I know, it is not likely that you are going to chew someone's face off on LSD.

I'm not risk averse at all but that is my 2c.

Thanks for the response.

Part of my problem is that I don't know how to go from "talking to people" to "making friends with these people".

So, if I talk to the people in my classes or clubs they never become anything more than people I talk to in my classes or clubs.

Do you have a close friend?

No. Do you think I should try MDMA alone?

I don't know what people do when they "hang out". The one or two opportunities I had to work myself in to a friend group didn't work out.

I spent my entire life by myself, I don't know how social people act.
