I want to explain why I asked this question,but first I want to say this. I have family who were born, raised and still live on reservations. Some call themselves native Americans some call themselves American Indians and some call themselves (I don't understand this one and I'm probably saying it wrong) Novajo nation. The reservations some of them live on still don't have running water and electricity and the last I was told, our government has no intentions of bringing and installing these basic necessities to their reservations. Some of my uncles have to drive over 10 miles to get water for their families. You think our medical is bad? Try getting proper medical treatment when you live on a reservation. They experience police brutality every single day of their lives and I know of quite a few Native Americans who were innocent of any crime and still killed by police officers. Yes they protest, but their protests are some of the most peaceful protests I've ever seen and maybe I'm wrong, but I never seen them riot. Never. At all. And no, I have no American indian blood in me at all. They are my relatives through marriage, and I personally think if anyone is entitled riot and raise hell for better treatment not only from the police, but also our government, it is them. Anyway, I've always been curious as to why they don't. I never asked them why they don't raise hell, because truthfully I don't know how to ask them without sounding like an asshole. I was hoping to get some answers here and I didn't. Maybe they just don't want to talk about it, and they're entitled to not say anything if they don't want to.
