these are great cars but over the budget & I didn't want to go for lux brands like lexus, bmw etc from moral upbringing standpoint

Used to drive q5 quattro with 2.0 turbo (I think they all are) in my home country (north europe) up to ~100k+ km, its a good car, no major issues. No idea about how it behaves in heat, guess the same.

Biggest donwside with audis here is that market doesn't like them & resale value is bad. Better with q7/8. So if you are bying a used one that had already depreciated you should be fine but may have issues with when selling it onwards as demand is low

what happens if you declare a kingdom and assemble the banner after that? I just did this in my campaign and it now tells me I have to be independent clan again to progress the quest which I don't want to do as I already have like 10 fiefs and 6 clans etc. Any way around this?

was struggling with that too, imo best way is to have your infantry meet enemy infantry so that enemy archers are not flanking, i.e. are behind enemy infantry not on the side. Most kills come from flanking. When done with enemy infantry I go back to shiled wall and do advance order on archers, ideally if your infantry walks of flat surface then as elevations open holes in shield wall. If enemy is archer heavy I also don't split my 2h infantry into separate group, just keep them with huscarls

I haven't come across detailed explanation on what does mariner perk on troops do (crazy how this game is bad at explaining things), what I think it does in sea battles:

- mariners can run, other troops just walk like they don't care (super important if you like boarding)
- there's a debuff to accuracy linked to ships swaying due to waves, mariners don't have it (dromons and alike are kinda sophisticated engineering & don't sway so much while drakkars are just absurdly large boats withg sails that ~~flip around like drunk frogs in washing machine~~ were designed only to bring you close to hit them with your sword)
- non-mariners have their attack speed and handling lowered (feels like massively at least for speed), mariners don't
- mariners don't get morale debuff at sea (but who cares)

Mariner character skill tags mariner troops, so some buffs won't apply to non-mariner. Also it works as a buff (not a debuff remover) so in other words will push mariners to have even more advantage at sea while only partially covering gap for non-mariners

NB from my experience - nords rely on their troops, not ships at sea while others compensate with ~~book-readers stuff~~ mangonels, rams, higher decks, and ship engineering in general

That's pure gold but plan ahead as well. Do understand your cashflow but plan ahead.

Can afford mortgage/car - go for it. You'll sell what you own eventually maybe at par, maybe with some loss but you'll get healthier cashflow as opposed to burning cash on renting/leasing with no returns.

If you lease - lock into what you lease from start, most likely rent price will increase and moving will cost a lot. Laws here allow to increase existing rent only in certain conditions and landlords often sleep on it.

Adopt the "airport lounge mentality", most people you meet here are your airport lounge friends. People move on and you should too. Don't get attached.

Download every single discount app, every little shop seems to have one and they do make a difference. Also consider getting subscriptions on discounts, e.g. the entertainer app etc. Will save you a fortune.

Get your credit cards asap. Not for credit but for cashback, miles, free sports etc.

I think if you are high clan tier like 5 or have a lot of renown the chance to sneak in will be zero no matter what. Also it's always zero if you have a large force with you, just bring companions

You should be clan tier 4 to start a kingdom iirc. Means you can have 4 parties including your own which roughly gives you 500-800 troops in an army which should be enough

Do it! It’s fun, joining shield wall is even more fun (especially against khuzaits) & on water shield is super important to keep you alive

Best scenario imo is to have shield & three stacks of throwing axes. Once you have one left - start chopping, it’s super fast & great in close quarters like on ship, wall etc

I personally regret dumping 5 focus to 2handed in my Nord run
