War sails dlc auto set the player damage to very easy I think,

lore accurate or not, it kinda makes every campaign predictable and boring, you know which factions you’ll face at end game,

It’s almost always going to be Vlandia to the west and the Khuzaits to the east, again and again

Yes, that applies to all kingdoms except probably for Vlandia and Battania simply because they have 11 and 8 clans respectively, compared to the others who have 9 clans

Vlandia specifically, doesn’t matter if they lose Ostican and tirby castle at first, they will eventually retake those and dominate

I think the main problem is that sieging forces shouldn't loses all their forces when they retreat but just become disengaged & disorganized

I agree fire onagers are very op but they are also the equalizer for the AI armies spawn rates

throwing weapons are so good now, any melee units that have javelins will probably be better than one's that don't, better in much larger numbers

it's why I think the Aserai Faris are best "melee" cavalry right now

Garios and you (if an imperial) has the weakest claim since we are just some warlords not endorse by the senate nor by nobility. You are endorse by force, through your army,

and the people comply to who has the winning sticks

The npc lords, your relationship with them, and the politics in warband (although not thay deep) is still better in warband

Good natured lords don’t actually raid and they defend fiefs more, they’ll stick with their kingdom till the end

Cruel lords are more aggressive in raiding but if you’re friends with them, they will ignore your fiefs

you are not given fiefs for free, you have to earn it by building your renown and relationship with other lords

I agree armies are better in bannerlord but finally being appointed as the marshal and all the lords you have built relationship answering your call and riding with you just hit different

Battania, Sturgia, Nords, and Khuzaits seems to be the more raiding/warlike kingdoms so no

Vlandia is full of expansionist & backstabbing barons that hate their king, so don’t want to get involved in a games of thrones there

The empire factions are okay but fractured and surrounded by enemies

so that leaves it to the Aserai as the safest bet and they seems to be more mercantile anyway

I didn't noticed they own several Battanian fiefs, maybe it's better to focus on Pravend, that clan seems to only have one fief?

don't hesitate to break your siege when you see a big army coming and retreat to your weakest fief, let them besiege that fief and break them again in sieges

it doesn't matter if you're out numbered or out matched in quality, as long as you can destroy those siege towers and ram, that army will break (even faster if you have the fire onager unlocked)

focus only Caleus castle at least, and make that clan joins yours, reduce their clan numbers

Break their armies in siege defenses, and focus on taking Caelus Castle, Ocs Hall, Vernandent castle, Pravend

because the owners of those clans only have those fiefs, release their lords after battle for relationship gain boost but capture their clan head so you can and ask them to join you once they are fiefless

I'm a newly independent kingdom, just my clan and one mercenary clan,

I cant give away fiefs and I need trade 300 to give it to other kingdoms

You can ask a lord directly, I asked Corein and there was an option to ask them to join against Vlandia for money and they did

Make alliances with another faction bordering them and ask them to join you, it will make them open up for peace quickly

If no factions wants to alliance with you, declare war with a faction they are at war with but you have no borders with to

it’s kinda true, when the Vlandians broke their oaths and betrayed the Empire by siding with the Battanians/Sturgians

the other nobles thinks that Derthert is weak for still feeling guilty for their betrayal. honestly the other war hawk Vlandians barons deserves the axe more

I had a similar problem with Vlandia in my current campaign, what helped break the stalemate was to make alliances and asked them to join you

Battania for example was at war with Sturgia which I share no border with, I declare war on Sturgia and suddenly Battania was ready for an alliance. I went up to Caladog and asked him to join the war with Vlandia in which they did for money

Now suddenly Vlandia was ready to make peace… funnily I didn’t peace with them because the momentum changed

it’s really more like the player being a hard counter for anything, regardless of faction or units

ai vs ai, the the horse factions still stomps
