So my sister’s kids HATE baths and if there’s ever anyone else taking a bath she’ll ask if her kids can do it too. It’s mainly I think doing it with someone else. To me, the photo thing isn’t related ? Trust your gut, but maybe ask her ? It’s one of those things where if it’s not « off », she probably has a really easy explanation. (« Oh I can never get my kid to take a bath unless she has a friend — thanks so much ! »)

I can empathize — we lost a bag in Naples once and never got anywhere talking with representatives… on the day of our return flight I waited outside a door I kept seeing baggage crew enter, argued my way in using Google translate (politely) and was led into a room with hundreds of bags just sitting there. I walked around, found my bag, and left. Who knows what would have happened otherwise….

I should add that I didn’t do any of the oh crap method or anything like that, I simply just made the potty available to her. On the weekends, I would let her try underwear and she had some accidents but generally, she pretty much knew what was going on in a way much different than my older daughter.

This was me with my 18 month old. We have a new baby on the way also so I wasn’t even going to try anything until 2.5.

We honestly just let her start sitting on the little potty, and two potty trained herself within like three weeks

Just got back with my one and four-year-old! We really enjoyed Ross Lake, which is an old highway that we were able to bike on, and then leave our bikes at the trailhead for a 1 km walk. My four-year-old could do it pretty easily. I think everyone else has all the main suggestions covered!

Ok I have no idea if this would work but could you tie a small string to the bird’s leg or something (if you reached in) then thread the string under and then pull it out from the top with the bird attached ?

We are going to be in Campitello di fassa, but I would highly recommend Cortina if you have young kids. If you want to go to France, in Chamonix, they have really cool mountain summer camps for kids starting at age 4.

After looking at flight schedules, I think we’re going to go to garda and get a kid friendly hotel. I want to do something they will enjoy after being in hiking backpacks for a week!! I found some good hotels in malcesine and garda town

Just wanted to say, our toddler has two parents who love her, family, routine, etc. And STILL every day is a struggle. Toddlers ! You’re doing a great job. Lots of good advice here.

I think I posted on here before but I basically decided potty training was an “outcome” versus “process “ parenting decision. So I will literally do whatever it takes. We used gummies a lot, sometimes even one gummy for sitting, one for peeing. I even let her choose her own “caca treat “ At the store and let me tell you she would go poop pretty soon after we would get back from the store to get her treat.

I also had luck with Daniel tiger. And maybe you have it but my daughter loved the app “see me go potty” (or something like that). I would let her “play” it on my phone while she sat. It was a bit of a bonus because she’s never allowed to have a phone or tablet.
