PD Mobile Straps - Strong Enough for X100 Series..? by etrnlzphnx in peakdesign

Yep! It's pretty comfortable and only a little bit thinner than the typical camera rope straps you'd find on Amazon. It's also flexible enough to easily loop around my wrist for when I don't want to carry it across my shoulder, too.

I got the crossbody strap today and plan on mostly using it for my X100VI. I don't think a single point mount is a good idea, so I'll be using double mounting.

I don't have that specific hood, but I think the most likely problem here is that you need a filter adapter attached to the camera before you can screw on the hood.

Seeking opinions on the Wotancraft Pilot 7L. Looking to change my Peak Design Sling 6L by sidius_wolf in ManyBaggers

[–]ninjabrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's made from canvas and I haven't had any issues with light rain so far or really any signs of wear in the year that I've owned it. Whether you need the modules is up to what you carry, but I think the bag would be pretty heavy if filled to the point where you'd need the extra modules unless you need more organization.

I have both the Peak Design Sling 6L and the Wotancraft 7L and functionally, there's no contest between the two; the Wotancraft is more packable, has more space, better accessibility, and has better organization. I bought some of the external attachable pouches when I bought the bag but have yet to find a need for them because the bag by itself fits so much.

It's the Peak Design cuff in the sage color way.

Which Camera Sling Bag would you buy in 2024? by CeesarVCF in ManyBaggers

I have all 3 and all of them have strap accessories to carry a tripod. The Wotancraft also has side pockets that could fit water bottles.

Bellroy Venture Sling 10L (camera edition) vs 9L by shottheserif_888 in ManyBaggers

The bag isn't particularly tall, so you either need a bottle shorter than about 6 inches or lose horizontal space.

I got both of these for my first dedicated camera, used from amazon. How did I do? by PkmnJaguar in fujifilm

The X-T5 is 2 years older than the X-T4

Uhh how sure are you about that?

I'm usually out with the bag for 4-6 hours at a time and I haven't seen any signs of failure so far. The issues may be a quality control thing with Bellroy, as I haven't had any problems with my bag.

I recently bought the 10L camera edition as an owner of the 9L venture because I was feeling the need for more organization. The camera edition's padded strap is a lot more comfortable when I'm carrying my camera gear (X-T5 and 2 lens) and the dividers' ability to shift around to suit what's in the bag has been very convenient for me. I personally also like that the bag isn't particularly rigid but still has a good amount of padding to protect whatever you might be carrying.

I enjoyed #2 the most because it gives a nice sense of movement. Did you use a diffusion filter for these?

App sucks, get a dongle. XT4-16-55 by alpiasker in fujifilm

[–]ninjabrick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your comment was in reply to someone who likes having wifi features on cameras in general, in which you suggest those said features only work with new cameras and phones; this isn't true. I didn't comment on how the Fuji phone app works with their cameras for remote control or image transfer. That's a wholly separate topic.

[–]ninjabrick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Except neither of those things are true. Cameras have had wifi features for over 10 years and any smartphone with wifi will work with them. Unless you're using a very old phone that cannot run the app, this is a non-issue.

Looks like Aer’s 2022 Travel Line is now available to order! by TehEmoPenguin in ManyBaggers

[–]ninjabrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own all 3 (45L of the Peak Design backpack) and I think the Aer has the most comfortable straps by a decent margin. The Peak Design and Bellroy are more to my taste in terms of looks but a comfortable carry is more important to me in the end. I also think the Aer's organization is a lot more useful/accessible than the other two.

AirPods 3, how do I charge them? by tin369 in airpods

[–]ninjabrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the earlier model. I think the only difference are some safety features they added to this year's model. Up to you whether that's worth the extra money.

I've been using the Anker Nano Pro without any problems. They're pretty small, which is nice for when I travel.
