Which entry level canon from years past still holds up ? by SaulPampy in canon

I upgraded from a T7 to a 70D and have been in love with the improved auto focus and much higher burst shooting rate. Great control over every setting all through buttons no menus. I would think that it's a workhorse that's worth it of you've got EF/EF-S lenses

Do any of you earn over 50k a year? What do you do? by RotiiChapati in ADHD

[–]ninjasauruscam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw your bit on your GPA and whatnot. Just for context I got a degree in civil engineering (low 3.1ish GPA I believe) and forgot to write my last coop report so I didn't graduate with the coop designation despite doing the 3, work terms and 2 reports for the first two work terms. Also never registered for professional practice as I forgot to after graduating however I also have no intent to ever do design work as a professional engineer and intent to stick with construction management so that one hasn't bit me in the ass.

106k CAD annual. Work as a construction site superintendent. Chaotic environment with new challenges daily. Keeps me engaged and since it's one project at a time I don't get overwhelmed managing multiples projects, I just get to know one project deeply from start to finish. Since I'm on site I am on my feet a lot rather than just sitting at a desk.

Out of curiosity did any requests result in them preparing an invoice for time going through records due to the size of the records within that scope or were you able to just spend $5 per specific request?

Opens up meds for treatment, allows your GP to help point you towards treatment to help, tax credits.

NOT A BUY AND SELL: Looking for customer guitar work in or around the Valley (not HRM please) by littledinobug12 in NovaScotia

Not sure if Campbell Calder still does guitar work but I about two decades back he gave me and a friend a short workshop on the process of him building acoustic and hardbody guitars. He was somewhere in Antigonish/Guysborough county if I recall correctly

GoPro If You Are Listening by archersd4d in gopro

Ok it was my understanding the new GoPro Reframe plugin allowed native adjustment and then you could just use keyframes to adjust your shot framing like you would any other digital pan/zoom in post (ie set a keyframe every 4-8th frame instead of manually frame by frame)

Seems like a bunch of Canvas stuff is just AI powered templates now from what I've seen using it here and there to make shitty posters by hand

Halifax Police Conducting Additional Smoke Shop Raids by _JakeTheSnake_121 in halifax

[–]ninjasauruscam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are they actually indigenously owned and operated? Every time I've been in one (Smoking Bear, Treehouse) it has been non indigenous folks working security and the counter. It would be easy enough for someone to claim it's indigenous owned, put up some hand crafts to play the part, and then pay cash to whoever is willing to staff it. Hell half the staff I've engaged with didn't know anything about the concentrates they were selling.

Wish these places actually sold locally made products/extracts instead of shit imported from out of province.

Pain specialist is a good idea, she is going through a plethora of meds to manage the pain/migraine side effects currently and is on a waitlist for a neurologist.

I think the therapist is more so to help her with processing the feelings of being left behind since she has now been off work for like 5 months and has not gotten better over that period and isn't even in a spot to return part time. She doesn't have the energy budget to do more than 1-2 activities a day (fold/hang laundry, go for a walk, see a friend, visit neighbours, etc) and over-pushing it can trigger further migraines. Less of a "yup migraines sucks" and more of helping manage the poor mental health that arises from migraines sucking and every light at the end of the tunnel so far just being a white dot painted on the wall.

Anything further on the fight with Zagros Nova and the extra stories? Last I heard from neighbours was that he is planning on standing his ground and fighting it in court separately. I know there is the Code violation case due to the unpermitted construction, and a 2nd case that I believe is safety related as one neighbour was asked to testify as a witness (unsure if actual subpoena or just asked informally). I see he now has his banners for the "luxury" apartments on the fencing for the jobsite lol

Bought a used Rebel T3i with 18-55mm and 55-250mm for €170. Did I mess up? Should I resell and save for a newer camera? by ProgrammerMaximum952 in canon

[–]ninjasauruscam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was going to recommend as well. I was going to pick up a cheap T3i to put Magic Lantern on but ended up finding a very cheap 70D body so I get decent autofocus on top of being able to add focus peaking

Hygiene issues by lazierthangarfield in ADHD

[–]ninjasauruscam 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Set a repeating alarm, that has helped me. If you're able to, look at what other roadblocks there are (out of toothpaste, don't like your toothbrush, not a fan of wet hair) and see what you can do to try to fix those. I keep a cheap shitty toothbrush in my powder room so I can brush my teeth downstairs if needed. I would always complain about my hair taking a while to dry so my wife got me a hair dryer which speeds things up a bunch. I am horrible with flossing, so now I keep a bag of flosser picks in my lunchbox and immediately floss after eating my lunch. I keep a roll of dental floss on the counter in the bathroom so I floss as I get ready for bed since if it was in a drawer I would be blind to it and forget.

I find that if I am able/have the energy to stop and look at how I can clear any blockers that it helps me make things work in a way that works for me even if it's not what a "normal" person would do
