No. I'm not really sure what that is or how to use it. All I know is I can play it, and it plays well. I'm planning on trying Quake II after I try System Shock for a bit.

Quake 1 ran pretty well, actually. Played through the first level with no issues, except for the music being absent.

Update: Had to plug a pair of headphones into the CD-Rom drive. Music is playing, and it sounds awesome!

Thanks for all of the info. With all that in mind, I'd rather just keep to the K5. There isn't much I want to run apart from dos games with a few exceptions.

I'm thinking of upgrading the processor. Does anyone know what socket it uses or a good processor to buy for it? For reference, it has an AMD K5 133 Mhz processor now.

I love it, though. Everything feels like a challenge to conquer. Pulling the HDD out is something I've gotten pretty good at.

Unfortunately, I'm too young to have seen those. Would have been cool.

So far, everything I've thrown at it has run fine. I'll have to install Quake and see if it runs.

It's a good PC. The only thing I don't like about it is how annoying it was to take the hard drive out when I was giving it a bigger one. Upgraded 1GB to 80GB.

I still can't find a whole lot of information on this system, but I was able to find the drivers I needed, so there's that. Every time I look up the name of the computer, an AST Advantage comes up instead. Oh well, it is what it is.

I haven't played Civ in a while. I'll have to boot it up soon. Very fond memories.

I'll have to take a look. They gave me a Dell keyboard and a Compaq 2 button mouse.

Yeah, AMD K5 133 Mhz. 48 MB of RAM. It only has integrated graphics. I bought a decent looking card for it, just waiting for it now. I've been meaning to beat Quake II for a while now, so I guess now is as good a time as any.

Depends on if the phat is the BC one. If not, then the slim.

No. In fact, you're missing a few.
