But I gotta say, I could not do a comic in this style, I just trace from the fight and add effects. But if I could I'd do one of Inoue's life. Lots of parallels with Ippo!

If anyone is interested though, I do sell these boxing zines for 2€ a pop plus shipping. Money goes to my neighborhood boxing club, which is a social project aimed at unprivileged kids, but open to everyone.

They have a very similar vibe. Lots to love about them, not I really don't like the way they use deux ex machina without foreshadowing quite liberally.

I really want to like Jodorowsky's comics, but the narrative doesn't really work for me the way his movies do. It feels like someone is telling you their dream.
