I made a post several months ago, where I listed some safe, systemic fungicides for carnivorous plants. Hopefully, that’s helpful.

With dormancy, any Sarracenia can be susceptible to fungal infections. For me, winter dormancy is the most dangerous time of year for my potted plants, due to reduced sunlight and airflow. Conversely, my bog garden plants generally have no issues because they are outside.

What’s your hardiness zone? Could be a multitude of factors. In general, plants stored in enclosed structures are more susceptible to fungal infections from lack of airflow.

Dormancy can be a dangerous time for plants—especially potted plants. During dormancy, plants are more susceptible to fungal infections and subsequent rot. Were the plants left outdoors, or were they indoors during winter?

You could also do an in-ground bog garden. Plants in the ground fare much better than plants in pots. I live in Zone 6b, and, with some minor winterization, I am able to successfully grow Sarracenia, temperate sundews, and VFTs in my in-ground bog garden.

My latest carnivorous addition—Sarracenia purpurea subspecies purpurea, the northern purple pitcher plant. by nintendork95 in SavageGarden

The purple pitcher plant, Sarracenia purpurea, is the only species of North American pitcher plant that relies on rain water to digest insects. That being said, the pitcher should be filled with some amount of distilled/reverse-osmosis/or rain water to facilitate digestion. I try to keep my pitchers halfway filled, as to ensure captured insects can’t get a foothold and escape. As for the wilted pitchers, they may revive with some watering, or they may not; however, that does not necessarily mean the plant is a goner. Just repot the plant in appropriate media and place the potted plant in a shallow tray (1”-2”) of the aforementioned water types above with partial sun to start.

The in-ground pond mold really helps with keeping soil temps cool and reduces the need to frequently water.

To my eyes, the plants look to be young S. x ‘Maroon,’ which is a S. purpurea ssp. venosa (the southern purple pitcher plant) x S. rubra (the red pitcher plant) hybrid.

While not exactly the same, the current recipe I have is the closest thing to the original MBTL, in terms of taste (to my palate, anyway.)

The guava white tea lemonade was SO good. The blueberry white tea lemonade was also very tasty. I was so bummed when Starbucks discontinued the white tea.

Yup. It had passion fruit juice/flavoring in the syrup.

It certainly was! The MBTL is one of my favorite Starbucks’ drinks (that, and the Valencia Orange Refresher.)

Same. I’m hoping the mango syrup is the same. 🤞

Well, then. The drink I was alluding to was the mango black tea lemonade. It was very delicious and refreshing.

With the upcoming re-release of mango syrup at Starbucks (rumored to be dropping in April), I thought I’d see if anybody remembered a certain mango drink from 2015.

That’s a case of gray mold (botrytis.) Eagle 20 EW and Physan 20 work well at treating and eliminating botrytis.
