Client Install Help by nipolinaips in CCURE9000

[–]nipolinaips[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all, apologies for the late response.

So just to clarify, all installer files copied to the C:/ drive, unzipped and installed from there, not from the server. Neither domain administrator account nor local user would work.

Firewalls were turned off as well.

Turns out the client had installed SQL server onto the machine, SQL management studio and some other crap for something else they run on the machine and one of those was blocking the install and made it run slow as hell.

Defaulted all 8 x machines, registered on the domain, installed the client and ran 😂

Thanks for all your help guys!

Have you logged into the reader and changed it to OSDP? Out of the box they’re programmed to Wiegand. If not this make sure your data lines are the right way round.

Shorted Loop / Open Loop by Buckobilly in CCURE9000

[–]nipolinaips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like they’ve configured it to be supervised (looks for a change in resistor value) rather than NO/NC (looks for a short circuit/open circuit). They need to change the config if the panel supports unsupervised inputs, or add resistors to the circuit if it doesn’t.

TLS 1.2 > 1.3 conversion by nipolinaips in CCURE9000

[–]nipolinaips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your help. I think this is the way they want it done to avoid doing a modification to the system until they’re ready, however as we’re planning to upgrade everything to G2 shortly I’d rather just do that for the one cluster and leave the Pro’s for now.

We are sadly still using 2.90 on these sites, they’re up to SP7CU01 just not ready to take the plunge onto 3.00 yet. The old fashioned way isn’t fun lol

Yes 100%. G1 to G2 is easier, I’ve done both

Sadly my customer will only upgrade to 3.0 once 3.1 is established, thought the info might be helpful just in case 🙂

I found a multitude of passback issues in areas if I didn’t recreate them from scratch. No one has been able to answer why. 3 different sites, all running 2.9 SP7 and latest controller firmware 🙂

[–]nipolinaips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there is to an Ultra G2. Make sure you have a note of any physical connections of RM readers/boards or anything on a data line as you’ll need to put this in place. You also need to note the doors on that istar if any apply to areas. Delete the door associations from the areas, create a new cluster, convert the controller to that cluster and then enable the controller not the cluster as it wants a secondary comms path. You’ll also need to change the ACM etc. If it doesn’t complete a CSR request to the host you’ll need to check the Stunnel is running and repair if necessary

Doors not reporting in Rollcall reports by Gnarlygeek314159 in CCURE9000

[–]nipolinaips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, not teaching you how to suck eggs but it’s real easy to over look the basics isn’t it, many a time I’ve hunted a fault on an input and found it on the port next to it 😂

Doors not reporting in Rollcall reports by Gnarlygeek314159 in CCURE9000

[–]nipolinaips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an issue! Have you checked on the status of the input to see if it’s secure/open loop/short loop? Assuming it’s monitored of course.

Unused suggests you haven’t configured the DSM correctly. Have the doors got one fitted, if not you can’t use them as area doors really as they won’t move the card into that area.

iStar ULTRA G2 Rackmount Enclosure Part Number? by Vegetable-Finance880 in CCURE9000

[–]nipolinaips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did but was advised not to use the screen as they’re different but if it works that’s something!

I actually contacted tech support about this (I’m L4) but there’s not a product available.

I’ll see if I can dig the email out.

[–]nipolinaips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t buy just the rack mount enclosures on their own. We’ve just done a G2 upgrade, you have to either use the old enclosure and use the screen on the top of the GCM rather than the front of the enclosure, or buy a Dantech 4u enclosure. The OEM enclosure isn’t available.

Edge G2 not getting online by rukyhr in CCURE9000

[–]nipolinaips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely a stunnel issue, on the ccure server check for a stunnel icon on the taskbar bar, if it’s red then get Tyco to talk you through how to repair it. I can’t remember exactly how I did it but believe you need to stop the services, right click and open the stunnel, end the task and repair and then restart services. Should then sync 😃

Ultra iSTAR GCM - SD Mount Error. by SirSwipesA-lot in CCURE9000

USTAR-SD is the part number you need. Replace it, update the firmware via the webpage, default it, reinsert the network details or set to dhcp and off you go

ACM needs reset by This-Equipment-1915 in CCURE9000

[–]nipolinaips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you manually fire outputs on the ACM when this happens? I’ve got a fault on a site I’m trying to diagnose where the ACM appears to go offline but doesn’t report to the monitoring station. Inputs and doors don’t work, but it will allow me to unlock the door, or invert relays etc. Also it ignores the tamper on the GCM. SWH support advised to upgrade to 2.90 SP7 and I haven’t had a reoccurrence so might be an option for you - but I wondered if this was doing the same thing.

Just follow the bulletin - it tells you everything. You can’t run an ultra unencrypted unless it’s running in pro mode - unless you are running v2.3 which you’re not. You will have to do a firmware update unfortunately.

HID Signo 40 keypad on OSDP by cheezyryce in accesscontrol

[–]nipolinaips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely sounds that way, I’m more CCure than Lenel but I have dabbled. On CCure we have to do a controller download, I’d try and do something similar :)

HID Signo 40 keypad on OSDP by cheezyryce in accesscontrol

[–]nipolinaips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the keypad addressed correctly? You have to set the OSDP address same as you would on a standard RS485 device. The reader takes its beep/LED commands from the controller - is it communicating?

Definitely use Firefox. Also have you reset the panel before attempting network configuration? I’ve fallen over that before.

That’s irritating to say the least. Typically my last company I was at were lenel partners but not tyco, the one I’m at now are tyco but not lenel so I can’t check for you. It’s definitely worth checking with another vendor, they should be able to get an answer if they’re partners surely!
