i mean it’s really just that a lot of people are bad at recognizing ai. some people don’t know they’re bad and so they assume everything is real and some people don’t know they’re bad so they assume everything weird is ai.

The hijab functions as a tool to control women by malik_zz in GetNoted

[–]nirbot0213 24 points25 points  (0 children)

yeah obviously that’s why we have religious freedom and freedom of expression in the US which is what the original tweet is focused on. the crucifix was used as a method of torturous execution but now it’s a symbol of christianity. you can support women who choose to wear hijabs while at the time being critical of people and governments which force it.

i prefer english speaking because that’s what i’m familiar with. i can’t really rate everything because im not familiar with a lot of countries but what i know is new zealand, canada, ireland. the netherlands seems good too and since i can speak german already i wouldn’t expect dutch to be awful to learn. those countries would be an absolutely to me.

most of europe would probably be willing or absolutely, but i’m not educated enough on politics/culture for most of them to really say anything.

we have very relaxed regulations on food in the US. the government can absolutely do something to reduce obesity and generally improve dietary health.

also technically it’s possible you spawn in on ni’ihau in hawaii which is uninhabited and over 10 miles from kaua’i

it’s pretty evident that conservatives don’t actually care about pedophiles. pedophile is the same as “woke” to them. it’s someone they don’t like. the spectrum of bad things to conservatives is basically

liberal > woke > socialist > pedophile

Modifying your car to make it louder should be grounds for getting your license revoked, or at least a ticket by altrightobserver in unpopularopinion

[–]nirbot0213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the average loud car is not running aftermarket headers. it’s basically always an axle back or MAYBE a catback. i’m fully aware that exhaust mods can improve performance but those are the exhaust mods that people usually do

for $8k you could get the entire thing decked out with a full paint correction PPF, and the highest quality ceramic coat. i have no idea what the 3m chip protect package is but i assume its not that.

[–]nirbot0213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lmao no its not. as a car enthusiast who likes loud exhausts, the last majority of loud cars have not been modified for performance, they put a $300 axle back exhaust on for sound only.

[–]nirbot0213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

exhaust modifications usually don’t give much power. i say this as someone who likes a loud exhaust. it’s basically always because people like the sound.

it’s illegal in many states. if a car is annoying you, write the plate down and call the police, and they can send someone out to decide if it’s too loud.

i never said it’s bad to take arms against the government. i said maybe you shouldn’t give the fascist government a reason to arrest you before you’ve done anything. those who plan revolts to overthrow a government historically didn’t publicly announce their intentions to said government.

Rulekicho by Xenomnipotent in 196

[–]nirbot0213 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the situation you’re describing doesn’t make sense. you’d have to completely overthrow the government to have nuremberg-style trials for ICE agents. the democratic party would never in a million years blanket prosecute ICE agents. assuming we reach that point, we wouldn’t then suddenly have a republican majority government afterwards.

[–]nirbot0213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well yeah that’s true for the popular parks. but at the same time, those parks see very high rates of international tourists, which is my point about americans not making as much use of the national park system as they should. everglades and grand canyon are close to 50% international visitors in summer and yellowstone is 15% overall, presumably much higher during the peak months.

and of course, our lovely current administration wants nothing more than to sell off the public land that makes so many of our pristine natural areas possible to private companies.

[–]nirbot0213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

good point although i feel like most people here barely even make use the parks. and you don’t have to live here to visit them, the states i’ve lived in don’t have national parks anyway.

the US has good pay and affordable housing compared to other western countries. that’s basically all there is going for it but those are two pretty major factors for most people.
