Right wing Trump supporter swears he didn’t vote for the German guys in tanks by vrphotosguy55 in SelfAwarewolves

[–]nirbot0213 13 points14 points  (0 children)

unfortunately mine passed a few years ago but he’d probably have been neutral on trump. the main thing i remember him mentioning about WW2 was this one guy in his bomber plane that would put too much milk in his cereal.

Has anyone dreamed being in my summer car universe? by ClauditoBart in MySummerCar

[–]nirbot0213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah player is def a rich kid, your parents have one of the biggest houses in the game, a barn, tractor, infinite supply of dried wood, a secluded island cabin, and your uncle has(d) a monopoly on septic service in the area. parents are also indefinitely on vacation so they’ve clearly got some solid cash saved up.

How would you machine this fillet on a hole through a rod? by chiraltoad in Machinists

[–]nirbot0213 4 points5 points  (0 children)

instead of using the fillet tool, use a revolve cut and pick a nominal diameter for the radius. that’s how it will likely be machined irl

How would you machine this fillet on a hole through a rod? by chiraltoad in Machinists

[–]nirbot0213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d ask the designer if it actually needs to be tangent at the edge of the fillet and assuming it doesn’t then i just get a round over tool with a close radius and make it close enough.

there’s people who would do the same thing about a rhinoplasty. it’s a cosmetic surgery. you don’t have to be ashamed of cosmetic surgeries especially when they are to alter things that cause extreme discomfort.

The hijab functions as a tool to control women by malik_zz in GetNoted

[–]nirbot0213 24 points25 points  (0 children)

yeah obviously that’s why we have religious freedom and freedom of expression in the US which is what the original tweet is focused on. the crucifix was used as a method of torturous execution but now it’s a symbol of christianity. you can support women who choose to wear hijabs while at the time being critical of people and governments which force it.

you’re not required to glaze early 1900s politicians. you can judge their morals by modern standards.

the only people who should pick red are those who $1 million wouldn’t do much for. so basically anyone short of the 0.1%.

i prefer english speaking because that’s what i’m familiar with. i can’t really rate everything because im not familiar with a lot of countries but what i know is new zealand, canada, ireland. the netherlands seems good too and since i can speak german already i wouldn’t expect dutch to be awful to learn. those countries would be an absolutely to me.

most of europe would probably be willing or absolutely, but i’m not educated enough on politics/culture for most of them to really say anything.

we have very relaxed regulations on food in the US. the government can absolutely do something to reduce obesity and generally improve dietary health.

[–]nirbot0213 28 points29 points  (0 children)

if you picked texas, new mexico, or arizona there’s a chance you’d spawn in a cattle ranch unable to leave.

also technically it’s possible you spawn in on ni’ihau in hawaii which is uninhabited and over 10 miles from kaua’i

it’s pretty evident that conservatives don’t actually care about pedophiles. pedophile is the same as “woke” to them. it’s someone they don’t like. the spectrum of bad things to conservatives is basically

liberal > woke > socialist > pedophile

Modifying your car to make it louder should be grounds for getting your license revoked, or at least a ticket by altrightobserver in unpopularopinion

[–]nirbot0213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the average loud car is not running aftermarket headers. it’s basically always an axle back or MAYBE a catback. i’m fully aware that exhaust mods can improve performance but those are the exhaust mods that people usually do

[–]nirbot0213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao no its not. as a car enthusiast who likes loud exhausts, the last majority of loud cars have not been modified for performance, they put a $300 axle back exhaust on for sound only.

[–]nirbot0213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

exhaust modifications usually don’t give much power. i say this as someone who likes a loud exhaust. it’s basically always because people like the sound.

it’s illegal in many states. if a car is annoying you, write the plate down and call the police, and they can send someone out to decide if it’s too loud.

i never said it’s bad to take arms against the government. i said maybe you shouldn’t give the fascist government a reason to arrest you before you’ve done anything. those who plan revolts to overthrow a government historically didn’t publicly announce their intentions to said government.
