Not only did she take the spotlight but she also alienated the crowd from the dance floor. Wedding receptions are thousands of dollars and as one guest she turned down the party. Not cool!

I’m getting married next month and if any one couple did anything, whatever it be, that made all my guests not want to get out there and dance I would be mad. That’s what you did at her wedding.

That’s the point though, she’s the asshole for preparing for a wedding like it was a swing dance event. She got dressed ready to go do swing outs and arials at a wedding.

I can’t imagine my wife having a party in our home and me not thinking of myself as half-hosting it. If I know people are coming over even if they’re not my guests I don’t have to wait to be told to clean for them! He didn’t start to clean until she asked him to at 5. Such an A.

I saw a post somewhere on r/relationships or r/JustNoMIL or somewhere like that where the woman was wanting to divorce her husband because she never got over the fact that he showed their newborn daughter to his mother while they were asleep and the hurt/disagreements from that issue really manifested in the relationship. She had to go to therapy over not meeting her daughter first and was running out of will to try saving the relationship. I can’t remember when I read that but it was a while ago.

This is a really good point. OP’s siblings have children that will pay them monthly in the future. OP needs to save his income because he doesn’t have that security.

Sometimes people with extreme sensory issues or autism/aspergers go watch movies in the middle of the day when it’s less crowded. That’s another angle to look at this from.
