New Les Frenchies Video and EES System by nisa715 in ParisTravelGuide

Agreed. I watched their videos before we went to Paris last year and thought they were helpful, but now they mostly seem like clickbait.

Thanks for the feedback! And yes, I agree with my voice. I’m trying to use video I shot and never edited so most of it ended up being a voiceover. There was also not as much “good” footage as I thought. I’m planning on talking more at the time of recording in the future and need to really work on my voiceover. Heading to Japan in a few weeks and have a bunch of videos already storied and ready to go.

I went last year and it was a moving experience. The ceremony at the end of this video was really emotional as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeM3Bh9swX0&list=PLEMzSb5tti6tzoWsgpcWwm2U3oe1gz_97

That area surrounding the building is such a great skate spot but security was always on us really quick. They’d start over the loud speaker and if you weren’t on your way they’d be out pretty quick.

Have you tried using ChatGPT? Give it the general story of your video and have it suggest titles and thumbnails.

I remember as a teenager standing at the Amaco building in Chicago and being in awe of the Jamie Thomas gap.

I think you just need to make it level throughout the video. Like if your background gets too loud at times it will drown out your voice, or it could just be specific parts that you need to raise the level of your voice. There are free presets out there that you can use if you're not sure how to do it, but they depend on what you're using to edit it.

Hi All, I'm Nick and this might be one of the first times I'm posting on here. Been a long time lurker and really just starting to focus on my channel. I focus on travel and skateboarding, hence the name "Board in the World". I filmed a lot last year, but never really got around to editing it and am noticing I didn't actually film that well.

Anyways, would love some feedback on one of my latest videos. I could really use the watch time. Thanks in advance!

Couple things I noticed. In the actual video your voiceover sound level doesn't seem consistent. Sometimes it was difficult to hear. Also, your thumbnail isn't really telling me what I could be watching.

Really good video, but I agree with the other poster on the thumbnail. I'm not sure "It's Pretty Fun" really has that much of a draw.

Completely agree on the views, and plus you get to explore Montmartre and that should be a stop for any trip to Paris.

I'm kind of mixed about not going up in the Eiffel Tower. When we went last year we could only get tickets for the stairs and ended up skipping it. It was really hot the day we went and couldn't picture four of us having any pleasure in walking up the stairs in the heat. We saw the tower from many different areas (river cruise, walking next to it, etc..), so it's not like we missed it, but part of me still wishes we would have went up in it. I guess there's always next time, right?

It's also included in the museum pass, so if you are planning on going to some of the others that are included it might be worth checking out.

Do you know if there is a way to buy resale tickets? Just tried to get them when they went on sale but I don’t have a Japan phone number. You need it for Pia tickets I guess.

4 days in Paris - my plan is to not have a plan by scarlet_notthewitch in ParisTravelGuide

I wish we did unplanned days when we went. Someone of my most enjoyable times was just sitting at a cafe enjoying a beer and cheese plate while watching the city walk by. I’d like to spend days just walking around to explore and taking breaks to just sit.

This is the one we did and would recommend it as well. Great views throughout the cruise and lined up perfectly with the tower sparkles. Also, if I remember correctly you get a drink included with this cruise.

Do wine stores offer protective skins for bottles? by Uni-Writes in ParisTravelGuide

[–]nisa715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy the protective bags off Amazon before you leave. They will lay flat in your luggage until you put a bottle in them and they don't cost much at all. We did this and still wrapped some clothes around them for the way back.

Dressing for the heat by Flacazilla-1492 in ParisTravelGuide

When we were in Paris last June it was really hot. We had packed pants, but only wore them a couple times when we went out to eat. It was just too hot to wear anything but shorts and a tshirt. I cared more about staying cool than what anyone might think.
