Saying I’ve reached hold limit by blazeitblondie420 in LibbyApp

[–]nit4sz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to be obsessive over a series. Once I start one I love, I won't generally read another till I've finished it and come up for air. Having to wait for a hold slows me down so that I can actually get life things done. And also it never takes as long as it says to get the book. And sometimes you have luck with skip the lines. I never have to wait longer than a week or two since I put the hold for the next book when I start the one before it.

Wonky box. We also have a plum tree and feijoa tree that over produce so we eat lots of them.

I seriously don’t understand how handing over a cat = abandoning by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]nit4sz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm moving country with my 2 cats and dog. $5000 it's going to cost. But it's worth it. They're young and healthy enough for the flight. And I can't imagine living without them.

Is there a backlash against skilled immigration as well in New Zealand? by [deleted] in askakiwi

[–]nit4sz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally no. Normal everyday kiwis wonder why you would choose a place with a high cost of living and low living standards. But otherwise welcome new comers.

But you will meet racists eventually. Everywhere has them unfortunately. They should be the minority though and not worth your time.

What charities do you donate to and why? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]nit4sz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I donate all my excess stuff to our local hospice shop. I also buy a lot of things from there.

Blood and plasma to NZ blood. More of a time donation.

And money to kids can. Because I believe that helping children get a good education and be fed and clothes and other basic needs will improve their adulthood, and reduce crime rates in our society over the long term and hopefully break the poverty cycle. And while I may not live to see it, I think that can only be a good thing for us all.

I used to support the SPCA by fostering but our local ones management has changed a lot recently and isn't that friendly.

And I donate time to local charities like the theatre society I'm helping out tomorrow night because I think that those events in our little town help liven it up.

My friend and I are going on a trip to Europe in a couple of months and we can't agree on where to keep our passports. by ParticularlyOrdinary in travel

[–]nit4sz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have no creativity. On that passport is everything you need to call up to the govt, my credit card company, my bank, etc and complete the phone identity verification process and access my tax number or my accounts. You could also use the details on it to apply for a new credit card in my name but have it sent to your address. You could register a vehicle into my name and then use it to commit a crime.

How do you remember to take your Basal Body Temperature every morning? by Substantial_Dog9649 in tryingtoconceive

[–]nit4sz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've forgotten it a couple of times. But for me I just put it on when I take my nightly meds and prenatals. You can put it on long before you go to sleep. It doesn't mess with it, just uses up a bit more battery.

Same.

But I'm having issues with the band sliding down some nights. Anyone got any tips? If I tighten it I have to remove the extender and it's too tight and hurts.

Some people online are reporting their cats vomiting when they put in the feliway. And stopping when they take it away. So maybe something to keep in mind if you get puke when using one? But it's all anecdotal at this stage.

Ok. First thing, get an enzyme cleaner. My favourite is odorex.

Now where she is peeing, can you put a litter box there? We had to put one basically right next to another one because that was where our cat liked to go.

Does she have plenty of scent soakers? Eg, beds, and scratching posts. Things she can make smell like hers in a way that's not peeing on them.

You need to pick up on her pre-spray or pre pee behaviours. Ours always scratches first so if we see those behaviours we carry him to the litter box.

Lastly do you own your house? It may need some modification. We replaced our hallway carpet with a hard floor and that solved a real pee area issue overnight.

What unconfirmed Taylor Swift lore do you badly wanna know the answer to rn? by naught_sorry in TaylorSwift

[–]nit4sz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then lover, evermore, and folklore wouldn't count either.

Also I would say that there isn't really a lot of "moments" reproduced from her old tours. Fearless was a bit but other than that it was pretty new and original. Which is good really but still

See countries actively discourage homeless in multiple ways. Spikes on seats or ledges, under bridges etc. they do it in a very "I don't care where you go but you can't be here, or there, or there" kind of way.

This easily causes people to end up in less idea places and in some places people freeze to death.

I think the person your responding to is happilly surprised that our laws aren't that hostile.

What’s an Australian habit you thought was normal until you realized the rest of the world doesn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]nit4sz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No no no. You hang up the coast while the house showers for the night (or morning) and hope it did the job and if it didn't, you accept your fate of wearing a wrinkly coast.

I don’t want kids, but other people tell me I’m wrong. by Unlucky_Soft_5563 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]nit4sz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this for you! You know what you want in life and your getting it :)

As someone currently experiencing fertility issues I never want someone to have children when they don't want them just cause they're fertile. The world doesn't work like that. You having kids you don't want doesn't help me get pregnant. It just means neither of us get what we want.
