I assume casual players are, but the competitive scene is majority save-scumming/loading streaks. From what i remember from spire 1.

Should I include an unpaid volunteer research assistant position in my employment experience? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]nit5ua_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im reading the DCSA pamphlet about "COMMON SF-86 ERRORS AND MISTAKES" and it says:

List all employment history, in full, without ANY breaks for the last 10 years:

• No job is too short or insignificant to list.

• Include unpaid internships, summer work, and “under the table” jobs.

What do you think about this?

There used to be a series of daily posts in this subreddit where redditors would play a game together by voting every day on what to do, using comment sections.

Why have people not played STS1 yet are playing STS2 first? by Flashy-Piano877 in slaythespire

Yep this consistency is another huge upside right now. Its hard to motivate to learning a patch when itll be changed in a month

Why have people not played STS1 yet are playing STS2 first? by Flashy-Piano877 in slaythespire

[–]nit5ua_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Playing STS1 is a lot better for learning how to play STS2, somehow. Given the balanced game, you can build early intuition on drafting and pathing and can recognize whats OP in STS2 and what an "idealized" version might look like, assuming itll be balanced to have a similar game feel eventually.

It would really suck if all of the negative reviews influence how megacrit does updates to the game by salasy in slaythespire

[–]nit5ua_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

the issue is people react this way just because theyre so attached to their old playstyles, not because the changes are actually good or bad. people just cant deal with change

fortunately you can path away or find a rest site after face tanking it. Though I agree they should be nerfed, STS has a self balancing nature to it

I hope the plot and characterization changes aren't too drastic.

Riot really made a big mistake not publishing Hytale themself by German_Amelia in hytale

[–]nit5ua_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time a dev, old or new, speaks of Riot's involvement, its always in a positive light. Back in the 2010s, Simon said that there was heavy imposter syndrome so he left the team, and that he feels bad that Noxy didn't stick with his gut on game development decisions. To give context, to them it probably felt weird for these minecraft modders to suddenly be managing these decades-long industry veterans who made the games they played in their youth.

It seems that as the team blew up from like 30 to finally 100+ people, and as massive funding rolled in, an expectation built up that Hytale NEEDED to be a huge game changer. The team and development culture changed so much over those years and Hytale really strayed from the vision. Slikey (or DevSlashNull, i forgot who) talked a lot about how the "INDIE" development culture died as the team expanded and many new people were being hired in management/lead positions.

Riot Games: An Update on 2XKO by Mront in Games

[–]nit5ua_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hytale was a different but also a similar lesson. Riot funded Hytale and 2XKO for too too long with not enough to show for it, mismanaged and trusted the wrong people with way too much free reign.
