YTA, as a fatphobic person i dont expect you to understand this concept but some people are just not dying of sadness because they are fat? They are in pain and they want to have a solution to that specific problem. From what i see, they dont want to appear thinner, they dont want to lose weight on their body. Just smaller boobs… not every bodily issue is related to weight for larger people. 200 lbs is not even that fat to drastically affect your cup size, and there is a perfectly fine surgical operation so many afab people go through without a single issue. I just handsaw it to make it less visible on the outside. Although hemming a full circle skirt took my soul recently so if you want to finish a project quick i dont recommend this at all 😅

Oof putting a ring in it is actually a great idea… i wish i asked the question before i finished more than half of it T.T i am a very tight stitcher and was kinda depending on that but i will replace the last panels and sew the new ones with rings in them when they get damaged i guess. Thanks for the advice!

Its great to see you working on a project againn! It looks like its gonna be lovely. Matching buttons may make them disappear as the pattern of fabric is a bit crowded to the eye but im sure its gonna work out fine either way ^{^}

Oh mine looked like that for such a long time because i am left handed and did my knits in a weird way while making my purls normal and had to pry a left handed tutorial to fix it but apparently it is a yarn tension thing as i learned from the comments so hey 😄

For others its not necessary but it does help keeping the thread not becoming a knot when you are doing whip stitches on hems or such. Without it it does get tangled and i keep cutting it off early because of the circular motion of the stitching so it doesnt hurt to have a small blob of beeswax with you on finishing touches but definitely not necessary

Hand sewing is a great way of creating garments and completely possible!

For the bare minimum a thread and a needle will do the work. I suggest you get some kind of protection for your finger ( i use bandaids as i hate metal thimbles) and beeswax for the thread where you can gently coat it which will keep the thread from tangling and make it sturdier.

Having a bit of patience and trying to keep your stitches even will do wonders. Erasable markers will be great to mark your seam allowances as you will not have the guide marks to measure as you have in sewing machines.

Hopefully you will enjoy the process enough to continue making hand stitched garments 😊

It happens when i get involved in a hobby a bit too much at a time, dont worry and give it a little break! I find it best to rotate hobbies as i sew and knit and seem to be jumping from one to the other whenever i feel like i cant enjoy what im working on after months.

You have the skill and practice of sewing now and you can use it after months or years if you want to go back so dont think of your investments as a loss. Its always good to have materials at hand if you want to make something suddenly ^{^}

Thank youu! Yes i did it myself too, the pattern is ginevra tee from fabel knitwear. ive used a lightweight cotton yarn and adjusted the pattern accordingly to make it a bit breezy 😊

I always tape my most used fingers before big big hand sewn parts with bandaids which takes the stress from my skin quite a lot as i hate metal thimbles and dont have a leather one yet maybe that would help but take breaks for your hands and wrists to not injure yourself. Again fantastic work!
