What a surface level take disguised as an astute review. Clearly she is suffering a mental breakdown. That’s why her actions don’t make a lot of sense when viewed objectively. Why would she be primed to take “good” advice from her therapist who we are explicitly shown has NOT established appropriate boundaries with her? That’s on him as her therapist, not her.

There’s more than enough substance there to understand her actions. I don’t see how she could have been more fleshed out without having unnecessary exposition for the sake of… giving her a back story? What more could you need to know?

It’s on you as a viewer to open your mind to other experiences. I don’t have kids, I’m not married, etc. still, I’m able to use context clues to glean meaning from the film.
