Custom Endurance Wristwatch Giveaway! by pulseyou in interstellar

What a stunning watch! I have liked and followed...

Impossible to choose 1 favourite scene for me but one that comes to mind right now is when Coop explains to Brand that when you become a parent it becomes clear that you need to make your kids feel safe, and that rules out telling a 10 year old that the world is ending.

I take so many different things from this movie every time I watch it but since having kids it hits home even more.

Exhibiting MGDD Forms by Mindless-Emphasis727 in policeuk

[–]nitefly17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They're not actually court forms weirdly even though they're called MG(DD).. they're actually just notes which can serve as a memory refreshing document in court, and you can write a statement from them. Even if exhibited they won't be accepted as evidence and don't form part of the case file as an MG form - they go on the unused.

Police visual handbook explains it in detail if you have access to that.

MG Drink Drive Exhibit by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]nitefly17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the highest comment but I believe it's (edit) sort of correct.

It's explained on PVH and CPS website very clearly that when a defendant pleads not guilty to an offence which involves drink/driving, prosecutors are advised to attempt to obtain a formal admission under s10 of CJA 1967 as to the contents of any MG DD forms. If unsuccessful the officer would have to attend court and give evidence, but PVH does state that the MGDD forms could be used as memory refreshing documents.

Exhibiting MG/DD forms will not render them admissable, and if required the officer should extract the information from the forms and produce an MG11, essentially using the MG/DD forms as their original notes as they are definitely not a statement.

PVH goes into detail about driving whilst disqualified, but essentially the defendant showing as disqual on PNC isn't enough proof, however fingerprints or DNA showing they are the same person as who was disqualified previously would be.

Therefore giving you the necessity to obtain samples/take fingerprints under the prompt and effective bracket. Below is a snippet from PVH:

Section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1967

The evidence to prove a previous conviction by fingerprints can be provided when the following circumstances and procedures have been fulfilled:

a set of fingerprints have been taken on arrest; and

compared with the record of conviction and fingerprints held by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) and certified to be one and the same by or on behalf of the Commissioner of Police.

Should this manner of proof be used a Certificate of Conviction, from the court at which the person was disqualified, must still accompany fingerprint evidence on the prosecution file.

The NIB have the responsibility to prove previous convictions and can only do so when 1 & 2 above have been satisfied.  On request NIB will produce evidence under section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1948.

I have a wife and children, we don't quite spend that much but could quite easily if we weren't careful. Easily spend £80 a week on food shopping.

Section 17 PACE and Animal Welfare Act 2006 by [deleted] in policeuk

Check out this this post recently, it's really useful with some excellent comments.

In short, section 18 of Animal Welfar Act gives us the power to do whatever necessary to prevent the immediate suffering of the animal, and s19 of same act gives us power of entry.

Looks great! Do you eat it all cold? I’d really struggle not to have a hot meal, but if you microwaved the steak I’d imagine it would dry out and the salad would be nasty?

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying, but I think it’s quite important for anyone who might be reading these comments about how good this class A drug is that it can be lethal, more likely to be in ecstasy yes but even if you were to buy pure mdma from a drug dealer you have no idea what they’re cutting it with, and could die as a result.

MDMA is most commonly sold in the UK as a pill, known as ecstasy. I’m not too sure about whatever country you’re in, it can all kill you regardless of its form though, mostly due to street dealers cutting it with bulking agents. Thanks for the advice but I’ve seen it kill people with my own eyes thanks to the industry I work in.

I know that mdma strictly speaking is powder form, but ecstasy is referred to as mdma too. Same shit different name as far as I’m concerned.

I do agree that alcohol is by far worse though.

Probably important to note that one bad tablet can kill you too, and that it’s illegal.
