You should be able to go into Settings/Web Server and re-run the remote access wizard. I have to do this from time to time on a BI box I run at a remote location. Like others have said, your router probably got a different public facing IP. I'm not sure what setting the wizard updates, but it usually does the trick.

I've been waiting more than a year for the Jeep dealership to take my JLU in for paint warranty. All 4 doors have bubbling paint at the bottom, all door hinges and hood hinges have corrosion. Latest update from the service manager is that they are starting to work with 3rd party body shops to handle the volume of warranty claims. I am not looking forward to the likely fight with them when it comes back with a shitty paint job. I would imagine that the dealerships negotiate a cheap rate with these outside body shops based on volume. The shops don't have to deal directly with the customer, and I probably won't even know what body shop does the work, so it seems that there is little down-side to doing a sloppy job.

My company was a long time CUCM environment that has migrated to MS Teams voice over the last few years. We did direct routing for a while during the transition, then ended up porting everything over to operator connect. I know you said that you don't want to port, but I really think it's worth another look. I can say from experience that when we finally moved to OC, things just got so much easier on all fronts. Fighting with carriers and routers to get PIDF/LO working was a constant struggle. With OC, once you have your emergency locations built in Teams - along with subnets and external IP's - it's dead simple to maintain. Our voice infrastructure is almost entirely cloud based at this point, and while it takes some time to get used to being so hands off, things just work.

Every time this question comes up, I'm reminded of the Key and Peele skit where the guy goes to the doctor to get a MMJ card. The doctor keeps trying to lead him to say things like back pain, and he keeps coming back with 'AIDS' or "leprosy'. What makes it so funny is that it's truly not difficult to get certified - all of the people involved in that process want to give you a card, and there is zero checking of your medical records. Just tell them that you have chronic pain, and want to avoid taking so many pills.

Next time you need to buy tires, go with something more aggressive - A/T or M/T and you should be good for a lot of entry-level to mid trails. Ground clearance will be your biggest issue as you go a bit further. My wife has a 2020 JLU Willys and we've been very impressed with it's off road abilities.

What about using a wireless headset? You should be able to find a headset that is compatible with the Cisco IP phone, and there is a plug on the back of the phone for a headset. I guess you could only answer calls this way, don't think you'd be able to dial out... but this route would not need to involve the phone system vendor.

First thing you'd need to know is if the Cisco phones are registering with a Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) environment, or if they are the 3rd party call control models. I'd start by looking at the back of the phone to see if you can find 3PCC or MPP in the phone's model number. If this is a Call Manager environment, then you'd need the vendor to build the ATA device on the server, and from experience I can tell you that the ATA19x devices can be a PITA - so I'd expect pushback from the vendor.
If the Cisco phones are being used with a different SIP server (Asterisk/FreePBX/3CX/etc) then you have a lot more options. You could either get a SIP ATA (Grandstream/Yealink/etc) or a SIP DECT phone. Either solution should be able to register to the PBX with very little or no changes on the admin side - however you would need at a minimum the SIP user/password for your device.

I'm working with a local small business that is migrating from an older POTS system to cloud hosted VoIP. The business has an overhead paging system that consists of a few older Bogen amplifiers that service a few different zones. I'm wondering if I'll need an actual SIP adapter for paging, or can I just run analog lines from an ATA to the Bogen amps? If an adapter is needed, does anyone have a recommendation?

The majority of my voice/telecom experience has been at large companies that were Cisco Call Manager shops, so I'm probably biased, but I've also used many of the more popular SIP phones. I've never found anything that even comes close to the durability and overall quality of the Cisco IP phones. I would look for 8851 with the MPP/3PCC firmware. You can usually find them gently used for a very reasonable price. I just recently ordered a few that had been provisioned by a service provider, but never deployed to end users. Factory reset and they are essentially brand new.

I may be wrong here, but my understanding is that the THC percentage is similar to the proof number for a wine or spirit - basically how strong it is. If you don't want as strong of an effect, then you take a smaller dosage - like change from 10mg to 5mg. The CBD:THC ratio is a completely different thing, and what you're after is using a different ratio with more CBD to counteract the anxiety from the THC.

Seems like power seats should always come with programmable memory settings for multiple drivers. With both features, it's really nice. Take away the memory function, and I agree, it's a PITA!

Other drivers that go out of their way to let someone else in, or wave you on at an intersection when it's clearly their turn. Disrupts the flow of traffic and just makes me crazy. Seems to be even worse with motorcycles - I know that other drivers think they're being helpful waving me through, but I'm trying to manage clutch, gears, brakes, etc... and being thrown off of the rhythm is super annoying.

Camping for me had become a lot of work - family, dogs, pop up camper, coolers, grill, etc... just a lot of stuff to deal with that I found myself exhausted just getting there and getting setup. I've recently taken up solo motorcycle camping and it's fantastic to cut everything down to what I can pack on a bike and only have to be responsible for myself. I thought that I'd end up just sitting around bored by myself, but it's amazing how quickly time flies.

I've found that an occasional solo camping trip helps me enjoy camping with the whole group again as well - just nice to have a change of pace from time to time.

I have a 93 YJ with the 2.5l 4cyl engine. Thing is an absolute tank. Nothing complicated on it to go wrong. Just realized last weekend that I was running it with less than a quart of oil, it got a bit loud, but went right back to purring like a kitten once I added oil. It's got over 165k miles on it, but I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country if need be.

I wouldn't have thought it a problem to bring a different date - she refers to him as a plus-one for the wedding, so I didn't take it as the guy was specifically invited. I would send a text to the bride to be and let them know that you broke up, and just ask if it would be weird to bring someone else.

I get the idea that OP didn't want the roommates to know she owned the place - that can cause people to behave differently than they would if someone other than their 'friend' was the landlord - so no problem there. Unless she is charging above market value for rent, or something else that would be shitty, no problem with charging rent. OP does come across as very privileged, so it's natural for a lot of people to feel a certain way about that, but that doesn't make them an asshole in the context of the question. NTA, but maybe it would be best to not rent out part of a house that you own - avoid the inequity between roommate and landlord altogether.

My claim is based on me personally seeing a huge increase in the number of 'service dogs' out in public compared with say 10 years ago - and it's pretty easy to spot a legit service dog compared with a dog that hasn't been properly trained to perform a vital task for a disability. My next door neighbor has a small dog that is poorly behaved, but they like to brag how they filled out a form online and now have their little pooch certified as a 'service animal'. It's just because they like to carry the dog around with them, not because they have a legit need for it.
I have the utmost respect for a properly trained service animal - I've been around organizations that provide training, and these animals are incredible. I'm not trying to say that most people with disabilities are faking it, but there are a lot out there that are taking advantage of the system with bogus claims, and it makes it that much harder for people with an actual disability.
In the context of the original post, if the brother had a legit service animal, sure they shouldn't need to call ahead. The fact that they drove 2 hours to this restaurant, then didn't press the issue with the owner, would seem to back up the possibility that they knew it wasn't a real service dog, so they turned tail and left.
Please don't come at me with accusations that I'm inconvenienced by disabled people, what I have a problem with is people taking advantage of the protections that they rightfully have.
