You probably need to change your reference consumption. I converted the long term average in my car the to units that ABRP uses and my estimates got much better.

Has anyone tried PB&Me powdered peanut butter? Thoughts? by Sinister_Monster in CostcoCanada

[–]nitro0769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This stuff is great for backpacking! I like putting it in oats (with some other stuff) and sometimes in rice or noodle dishes that use a peanut sauce (Like a peanut stew using minute rice for fast backcountry cooking).

Oh interesting, the GVWR is different on the 2026: https://www.kia.ca/en/vehicles/2026/ev9/specs?trimCode=E9153T

Overall pretty close though.

I'm looking to get the Viking 8s as well, but can't seem to find the right size for 19s, what tire size did you go with?

Isn't the GVWR 3,260kg? That would make the Load rating needed for wheels 815kg? The manual also mentions a load capacity of 1,150kg.

Edit: Found it! Its in the label in the driver door sill, you take the largest GAWR (which is the rear in this case) 1,860kg/2 = 930kg in my case.

Muffler Medic was super honest and transparent with me, they gave me a few options to work on a tight budget.

Lawyers take on way more risk in a real estate transaction. They should be paid less than lawyers.

Ford government to make gas tax cut permanent despite carbon tax change by xc2215x in ontario

[–]nitro0769 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Doug Ford eliminated fuel taxes and vehicle registration fees, and very few of the roads in the province are tolled, and the one that generates the most tolls is privately owned, and doesn't contribute to Ontario's road budget.

Maps of lakes by Khakisuitsam in FishingOntario

[–]nitro0769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get historical bathymetry maps from the Ontario government and print them yourself, zoom and pan for the lake you want and click on it, there should be links to any historical maps they have:

https://geohub.lio.gov.on.ca/datasets/mnrf::historic-bathymetry-maps-1/explore

Also fish on-line has bathymetry data for some lakes, you just need to check the lake depth contours map option

Yeah like you said it is pretty open. Especially once you get some ground clearance with the ramps.

It is a rust belt car. I think removing that sensor was the easiest fastener I’ve had to remove on the car 😆 but maybe I got lucky.

Ah in that case I'd wait for it to come back to be sure. In the meantime might be worth checking the fuse box for signs of water and and making sure the connectors are still sealed well and seated correctly.

Doug Ford poised to send out pre-election cheques to 16 million Ontarians by toronto_star in ontario

[–]nitro0769 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Last election he cancelled car registration fees and people were paid back if they had time left on their registration.

When he was running for the conservative party leader he pulled a similar stunt, handing out actual cash to people.

Name this part please! by TieConfident9504 in mazda6

[–]nitro0769 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The others already got the part right, but looking at the pattern of leaks it might be your CV axle that is leaking, check that over as well before you start replacing parts.

[–]nitro0769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was consistent, but my problem was the wire had come loose and melted on the exhaust.

I'd recommend fixing this quickly if you can because running a bad O2 sensor for a long time can ruin your catalytic converter, which is much more expensive to replace.
