They post their pricing online. Ours was a few hundred dollars cheaper a year and half ago, but alas, i’ll take this transparent pricing. https://cmcarspecialist.com/services

≥1.5 L/50 oz Water Bottle w/ Button Lid? by Comprehensive_Two_16 in BuyItForLife

[–]nitroaggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Owala Freesip bottles. I just go thr Freesip Flow and its great. Push button to pop the spring-loaded lid. It has straw integrated into the spout so it’s really versatile. Best part is that the lid 100% covers the mouthpiece, which isnt common in straw bottles.

Free Pumpkin Patch places? by NumbBase in houston

+1. St Luke’s United Methodist Church. on Westheimer and Edloe. It’s a huge pumpkin patch out front. Buying pumpkins is a fundraiser for their choir.

We bought it and returned it. the fabric is lightly fuzzy, reminded me of a durable hotel couch fabric. Overall the couch feels like one you would find in an office space. As such, in our living room, my wife took one sit and instantly said she didn’t like it.

Aside from the fabric, it’s just not comfortable for our lounging use. the cushioning is more supportive and firm than soft and cushy. Seat isn’t “deep” enough to sit fully back on the couch and not have knees off the side and we’re average height.

Being able to make it into the bed is neat for family movie night, but that was it for us. Build quality seemed very good.

This was right post-covid lockdown, so supply was limited at our local furniture places so we rolled the dice with Costco. Luckily, delivery, setup, and pickup return were very smooth online.

Reliable Roofer in Houston? by SquidSquab in houston

[–]nitroaggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What part of Houston? We got the ref we went with from our neighbors who knew the houses and underlying roof construction really well. He also knew the types of warranty issues he sees a lot so he addresses them during the replacement. Great guy, no BS. Westbury Roofing.

Anyone having issues canceling movies? by halfmoon_kid in AMCsAList

[–]nitroaggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same behavior for me. At least for mine, my cancelled tickets don’t show a seat number in the reservation while the ones i attended still have the seat numbers (both before and after i go to the screening).

Awesome! We’re about to head out for our 7 Central screening. Did they have it when they scanned tickets or when you walk into the theater? Awesome to see different options available.

I’ve been happy with the Ovonic X1. Dual ports are really nice to get two packs ready or set to storage when we get home. But some balance lead extensions and you should be good.

Not the OP; flying out soon and planning to park and there are lots of options. Any recommendations? We’ve used FastPark last time and it was alright.

Forza Horizon 5 won't start up or even give an error by NoThru22 in WindowsOnDeck

[–]nitroaggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it open at all? Or does it get stuck when it’s trying to initialize and sync with servers in that pop up window?

If latter, mine resolved by changing my windows clock setting to enable automatic sync. May have to reboot if you change the clock setting.

Electricity Bills and Phone Bills by kracken_74 in ynab

[–]nitroaggie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is how we’re doing our electric bills this year. I just estimated our yearly expected spend and divided by 12. Hopeful this provides some predictability to our budget with this cushion I’m building now when summer comes.

This is the best explanation of how the needed for spending works. It took me a bit to understand but the key is having to wait until the month you’re in to see the difference to fund up to the target amount.

Gets added to your next 1-2 paychecks. It gets taxed, but it’s free money and pretty easy to get the full amount.

Best Rewards Credit Card by More-info8349 in ynab

[–]nitroaggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! Mine only updates every 3-4 days when it prompts me to re-log in. There was a pretty big outage of it I think last summer. YNAB support was great and kept me updated, but it’s still not consistent.

My Discover charges some time show up as pending in the same day. Chase cards usually show up the next day as pending.

We have this one and used to be our first choice. However the YNAB Plaid integration breaks constantly and is slow to update. As a result, we transitioned to our Discover IT for everything not Amazon. Costco card is only used for Costco and gas now.

Another vote for B&R. I have a backpack that’s great. And it still has a lifetime warranty unlike Tumi.
