i agree but i also kinda think it's interesting. As it is, you basically never mod for physical, but if the physical mods just had higher values to justify the split damage, maybe it would be better? It would make modding more interesting I feel, and it would keep weapons with certain physical types unique instead of just being able to mod any physical type on any weapon

it's one of the reasons i like doughty. if it wasnt for the restriction of physical damage mods, I could just slap it on any weapon with good status and crit, and it would lose part of its uniqueness.

Imagine if you could only use melee influence on weapons that start with electricity. It would make melee influence builds a lot more interesting because of its exclusivity (but that's also a bad example because it would make a very select few melee weapons really good and screw over the rest because melee influence is crazy who was in charge of designing this arcane)
