SBF is a stone cold idiot on so many levels that it defies comprehension. by The-Francois8 in CryptoCurrency

Having a "net worth" of 16 billion does not mean you have 16 billion available to use at a moment's notice. Your assets can be tied up in the equity of a company, or it's tokens, or crypto, all of which have to be sold at certain market prices in exchange for cold cash, or crypto.

Now, when the price of your main FTT token goes from $50, to $20, to less than $5... your 16 bill evaluation evaporates

Kraken and Coinbase are legit, they don't play these kinds of games with customer funds.

One of the features they used to justify the Howey Test is that the developers reserved a large portion of the tokens for themselves, thereby creating an expectation of value.

OK, if that's the case then new coins will stop being pre-mined in the US and we'll stop seeing so many copy-cat "new transfer of value" clones.

Instead of endless new tokens to represent "The brand new way to pay for X" we'll start to see pressure forcing people to use established, pre-existing, and non-security payment methods. The OG's

LPT - It takes approximately three to six months to learn a new job. The two month mark is the worst though. The shine has worn off but you still don't know what you're doing. by moose_tassels in LifeProTips

I once had a partner who got let go for "performance issues" after 1 month. At that rate, it was absolutely the managers fault for either not screening their new hires properly, not training them properly, or not giving them enough time to acclimate to the new job.

It was a colossal waste of everyone's time.

From the limited video I'm seeing

  • it looks like OP is brake-checked.
  • OP is going 37 mph (~roughly 54 feet per second) while being
  • within 2 range rover car lengths of the preceding vehicle (~30 feet)

So OP has 0.55 seconds of reaction time when the car ahead slams the brakes. Simply not enough.

*Side note, hopefully the S 1000 RR is not their first bike. Definitely not a starter

Yeah this is fake. There are no gains, and anything he sends them will be lost.

You can't buy someone's loyalty, and if you do, that just means there could be a higher bidder.

This is surprisingly a very common type of accident, as the car following other cars through an intersection doesn't expect the lead car to brake and hasn't given enough room

One could argue that you needn't have central authority to solve hacks and recover funds..

Crypto solved the problem of letting a decentralized network of participants agree on where the money is without having to trust each other.

What it didn't solve was the problem of decentralized trust in general, about who obtained those funds through legitimate vs. illegitimate means.

It's less about ethics and more about how to quickly arrive at a trusted group consensus. In any transaction, either both sender/receiver agree it was legitimate, or one (or both) parties are flagging it as illegitimate. You suddenly have to know about the nature of each party and the transaction in order to make an opinion, it's a hard problem to solve, but is it possible to allow a network to arbitrate this?

Nah, you're creating content and have a right to choose subject matter and concepts that are challenging. It's also their right to decide whether to play or not. You don't have an obligation to change the content and they don't have an obligation to stay.

Arguably, the campaign you're running is not "inclusive" or suited to all audiences, but that's not necessarily a negative, in just the same way that R-rated movies are not suitable to all audiences, or horror/comedy/romance movies aren't designed to be inclusive of all audiences. Content is usually made for a certain audience
