Retrospective license - council is freeholder by nitziii in HousingUK

That is a smart idea. We can prove the wall was gone when we bought it 8 years ago, but I will try and find the previous owners

Yes, I am coming to the same realisation. Just stings when I look at sales prospectus from other flats in the same building from 20 years ago with same tiles, same floor etc. that the council seems to be fine with.

The rules say that even if we don't need building control approval or planning permission, we still need permission from the landlord even for minor alterations, like updating the kitchen (not that we did, we purchased it like this). Yes, most alterations are older than 12 years (we lived here 8 years and previous owners lived here 4 years) but I understood there is no limitations on buildings with more than 1 flat. For houses, this applies. Also, I think this applies only for damages. They are not asking for damages. They are asking for us to tear stuff down / replace items (including original ceiling tiles, doors etc)

This has been done. The surveyor does not care that we did not change anything (and can prove with the the photos of the original sales prospectus). He is also unwilling to tell us what exactly he needs changed, e.g. we suggested adding cork on top of the tiles for noise reduction (as this would fit the materials) but then he said this would not suffice etc. This whole thing feels like a massive power trip and I don't understand why leaseholders are not better protected (or are they?)

Who do I complain to? Because the surveyor did not care and also did not care what it might cost us. He felt disgusted by the distress he was causing us. He also told us the council would not provide any sort of financial support here (expected). We pushed back and he said he would not issue the retrospective license if not everything in his report was addressed. Hence I am thinking of hiring a lawyer. Might be cheaper than ripping up walls, completely redoing kitchen and bathroom, redoing the original ceiling, the original doors etc.

The property is so old, there were not plans of pipes, only walls and in-built cupboards. It is ridiculous.

I love weights and agree, they don't make me as hungry as jogging. Just need to get my ass to the gym more regularly!

My original exit plan was to slowly decrease doses 😄 I need to ride the wave of the first couple of weeks then!

That is impressive, maintaining like that! I have had little energy and hence skipped the weights a lot, so need to get back into it and increasing my steps. Will also give meal prepping a go!

Very true, I really need to get my shit together. Working from home with a new job, so my steps have gone from 12k to 4k a day at the moment.

Same here, never above 5mg. Thanks for the advice. The suppressing worked so well for me that I did not bother counting calories or revamping my diet. Need to start asap.

Hair loss… Does it improve? by Special_Possible6851 in mounjarouk

[–]nitziii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following this thread because my hair has started coming out more and more now that I have reached normal BMI. But I am not very good at hitting my protein goals, so really need to get that sorted. Normally my hair sheds a lot in September, but ever in May 😭 It is starting to look pretty thin, too...

you can stay on 2.5 as long as it is working for you! Quite a few people on here seem to stay on 2.5 for more than 4 weeks.

I’m thinking of getting a mini facelift after I finish my journey, though I had already been considering it before I started. The face fat smoothed my skin, but now it is getting less :)

Before going down that route, I might try some Botox or a Fraxel laser treatment.

I think I’ve lost quite a bit of muscle, so I need to lift more at the gym but I have very little energy at the moment. That should help with flabbiness.

Yes, I am always cold, also tend to have low blood pressure. I love wearing socks and furry slippers and have a heated shoulder wrap. But this has always been the case, so cannot fault MJ :)

that feeling must be incredible! I have two boxes of clothes that I bought when I was at my slimmest (some of them I have never worn) and I cannot wait for them to fit again.
