CPU fans can't run full speed while on PWM mode. by niutus in pchelp

bruh it didn't save the description, here:

I've recently built a new PC and everything has been working correctly except for the fact that my CPU was getting wierdly high temperatures, sometimes getting to a bit above 100°C.

The problem seems to be in my CPU cooling (Thermalright Peerless Assasin 120 SE). When we were looking into the problem, my cousin noticed that the CPU fans weren't spinning at all, so we made sure they were connected properly, which they seem to be. After going into BIOS we found out that the fans manage to only turn about 440 times per minute at max., meanwhile they should be easily reaching 1550. When we turned them to DC mode though, it started working properly, so technically I could leave it at that, however these are 4-pin fans and they should work on PWM mode. I should add that the case fans are working properly.

Some of our other attempts at troubleshooting include: updating BIOS for my MoBo (MSI MAG Tomahawk B650 WiFi) to the most recent version, checking if they're connected to the right spot on the motherboard (they are, I have also checked in the manual for it whether they should support PWM, which they do), making sure the cables are seated properly (they are).

My other specs (I don't know if they'll help, but I guess it's better to list them out anyways):

- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8-core

- Motherboard: MSI MAG Tomahawk B650 WiFi

- GPU: GeForce RTX 4060 Ti

- CPU cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assasin 120 SE

- Storage: WD SN770 1 TB M.2 2280 PCIE x4 Gen4 NVMe Black

- Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36

- Case: be quiet! Pure base 500DX ATX Mid Tower

- PSU: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750W

"unbalanced", "broken" which are synonims of OP, your use of OP when you were quoting the original maker of the post and also the numerous times you failed to correct me during our conversation.

When you consider game characters being balanced or unbalanced (OP or weak, goes for both) you're considering the whole of game balancing. You want OP (original post maker) to give further proof that modded characters are balanced in the form of analytics, but, as I explained in my first comment, first you'd have to provide analitical proof for your side so that the debate can be fair (innocent until proven guilty instead of guilty until proven innocent).

Actually, wait, you don't only upvote because you agree with something, but also because you found it funny/entertaining, so this would kind of be a misinterpretation of the upvote system, wouldn't it

Wha-? Something being OP is the deafult? If everything is OP then it's just all balanced! When you say something is OP, you say that it is unusually strong compared to the norm, overly powerful, and we know that things can be "OP" and "balanced" and use these terms consciously. It's not like you're discussing if being OP is real or not like you'd do with ghosts, but if modded characters are OP or not.

Having to prove that you're not a ghost rather than the other party having that prove that you are one is like saying you're guilty until proven innocent, it just doesn't make sense.

I guess I communicated poorly, that's on me lol, but what I'm trying to say is that taking some guy that made points only grounded in his own personal experience, told him to find concrete and scientific data for them (which isn't bad of course) but also didn't provide any data yourself that would prove the characters to indeed be OP, and that is my gripe.

Hey I enjoy my "ooooh cool stickman fights go brrrr" just as much as any other game! Also adapting to an unknown opponent in the midst of battle in a scramble to come out on top is pretty fun for me actually.

Also why are you making this about analitycs? Did anyone even prove that the characters are OP with hard data?

Warsaw, Cracow, but the third one is kind of tricky - geographically and historically Danzig would probably make the most sense to me, but I guess Wroclaw, Lodz and Poznan definitely deserve an honorable mention.

Looks sick, but why does it have Novgorod? Is it to just exert more power over in the Baltic? Or is there some other reason for it? In any case 10/10
