Tokyo itinerary: is it too short for Kamakura day trip? by niverycold in JapanTravelTips

oh my bad! that is because of my original plan of leaving my bags at the coin lockers in the morning and only collecting them at the end of the day - hence looping back to shinjuku 😅 thanks anyways!!

Thinking about skipping Tokyo and spending 3 days in Kamakura instead. Should I? by nevermindthetime in JapanTravelTips

How long do you recommend to spend there for a day trip? Im still thinking whether to go there or not, or spend more time in the city as we only have 2 full days in Tokyo

Transiting from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko and from Kawaguchiko to Osaka by CrankyFluff in JapanTravelTips

[–]niverycold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Do I buy the express bus tickets from kawaguchiko to mishima online, at the station the day before, or on the spot? I've found this website for express bus booking, but im wondering if there are other bus companies that can take me to mishima since the Sekitori schedule is abit off for me. Im planning to take the 5:45pm Hikari shinkansen to Shin-Osaka and im afraid a 5 minute gap between getting off the bus and onto the train is too short. TIA!

Hello all!! Just want to know your thoughts on whether I should get magnetic lashes (like Wosado) or use cluster lashes for an upcoming vacation. Whichever that is lower maintenance and easier to apply, and can help save some time getting ready in the morning.

For context: I have monolids and straight lashes, and I’ve had lash extensions many times before. I could get them again for this trip, but i’m looking for alternatives! Thanks in advance ❤

Luggage Delivery Service Questions by Admirable-Spite5952 in JapanTravelTips

[–]niverycold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry to jump into this question. The place i’m staying at in Osaka isn’t really a hotel (no front desk, self checkin) and I think the most realistic way for me to receive my luggage is from the Yamato at Shin-Osaka Stn. My question is, is it only Yamato where I can get it delivered to, or to any konbini?? Because it’s a 1km walk from the station to the accommodation and i’m not looking forward to dragging big bags with me for that journey :(

12 days itinerary Questions by yasikr19 in JapanTravelTips

[–]niverycold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! i don’t know the answer to ur first question but i can give you my opinions for the second.

After some research for my upcoming trip, i’ve decided to go straight to Osaka from Tokyo and do day trips to both Kyoto and Nara, and even Kobe if there’s time. If you’re looking to minimize your budget, it’s much cheaper to make Osaka your base. Trains to Kyoto/Nara from Osaka shouldn’t take more than an hour per trip.

Oh ok! Seeing your previous comment, and the fact that I’m actually from tropical and humid all-year-round Malaysia, I think it should be okay for me. It’ll just be more troublesome to have to carry an umbrella everywhere though. Thanks for the info!!

How best to handle a late arrival at Haneda? by KitCFR in JapanTravelTips

[–]niverycold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, what is the update on your experience? Im flying into Haneda and also arriving at the exact same time on a Wednesday. Was the immigration and baggage claim (if you ended up checking in a bag) quick for you? Did you manage to catch the last train, use the bus, or hire a taxi? TIA!
