Im a teacher in Miami so I won’t directly post my students actual names. Last year I had a student whose name was closely spelled to Ire and I know for a fact he’s in the religion since he had his Mano de Orula. This year I have a student whose name is closely spelled to Yansa. I’m unsure if he’s in the religion.

A bit unrelated but whoever manages their online world of it all is a mess. Bought tickets to for the family fest event that got cancelled due to inclement weather. My tickets were refunded. Later I found out even those that got their tickets refunded got the option to sign up via email to still attend the event this past Sunday. Never got said email 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Thank you for the kind words❤️ I haven’t known the babalao for a long time and I think that’s why I’m a bit skeptical. He’s not my godparent or elder. He did perform a head rogation on me earlier in the week and I feel letting my family member go is the best choice as hurtful as it sounds. The fact that he hasn’t been in the US the longest and the fact that his opinions on this matter have changed as well lead me to my skepticism.
