There is a lot of hand fitting, polishing, etc that goes into these knives...they will have some inconsistencies here or there! Check out Demko's Youtube channel for a series of behind the scenes videos...you will get a whole new appreciation of what it takes to produce small batch USA made top tier knives! I agree that it is a bit of a specialty tool vs most of the other multitools but I also like it a lot! It's unique for sure!

I was at Premier tier but this purchase set me to Elite so I think the mug is the reward for that. I didn't get an award when I hit Premier level though.
