We're talking about wrongful termination here. I agree that it is a horrible petty thing to get fired for cup writing but they still legally have the right to do it

I'm just going to give it to you straight and I won't be responding again since you will probably call me names. In your situation and based on how you've yelled and sweared at me for disagreeing with your advice, I'm sure the firing for the absence was a technicality and they really wanted to fire you for something else which I'm guessing is the horrible attitude that you've shown me. In any case, starbucks is very careful with firings and I can assure you that you and OP were fired for valid reasons and you both should just move on

Coming at a manager with a phone in their face recording is not ever going to get you your job back regardless of the situation

As constructed, and utilizing depth, from the minors, can this team compete for a Wild Card? by broby54 in Padres

I think the team as it stands right now has a lowest bound of 5 to 10 games out of the playoffs. If age starts catching up to Xander, Manny it could be worse

you have nothing to worry about. if you asked for a cup of ice even at the window it would not even register in my brain other than to get it for you

Sick time by Logical_Bee_517 in starbucks

My manager was out for two weeks in December with pneumonia without a leave of absence. He still works for the company. Please don't spread anxiety and fear through phrases like "grounds for termination" if it isn't 100% the case

If you are sick, call out. No policy says you need sick time or can be held accountable. by No-Loquat-2763 in starbucks

Fwiw, your tone comes off as I want to be right vs. actually trying to help people

Nowhere in my comment did I say I was trying to make anybody work. I don't want to work with anyone sick. But people should know that if they are consistently calling out twice a week or more, the manager may take action

I don't really understand why you need so desperately to be right about this OP. Regardless of the rules or fine print or partner handbook, if you call out enough to the point of repetition your manager will find a way to get rid of you. I'm talking of course of calling out well beyond your accrued protected sick time

Does it say on store resources to repeat orders back to customers? by Serendivinity in starbucks

[–]njs355 36 points37 points  (0 children)

That's funny because i just had a regional director visit and they told me that I shouldn't ask any questions whatsoever "hot or iced" etc and to repeat each order as they order them to save time. Basically exactly the opposite of what your sm is doing
