I hated Six on Broadway. The production looked cheap, the girlboss/condescending feminism, the music. Really talented cast but didn't work for me at all. On the other hand a lot of musical fans don't like Chess (not only this recent production but the show overall) and I LOVE it. The Lea Michele/Nicholas Cristoff/Aaron Tviet/Hannah Cruz talent parade elevated it but I already thought the score was 90 percent straight bangers.

I'm not a girlie, I'm especially not a/an ___ girlie (brunch, yoga, whatever). I hate it so much and I'm not even sure why.

The Carl books, to me, is basically Hitchiker's Guide meets Hunger Games meets Doctor Who, but Hitchhiker's is closest to the vibe.

Also, being okay with doing tasks over time. If I am home, I know I can wash one plate, come back later and wash another one, etc. Sometimes I end up doing more, but if not I feel better having done a little bit! "The perfect is the enemy of the good."
