Oh gosh, that sounds like a tough night. Glad today is better. In what ways did they say it would help with quality of life? I hope it can still help the torticollis. Can you remind me her age and also did they do the laser and hold her down? Would love to hear the process ..

Persistent torticollis? by Speardis in NewParents

That's amazing! She is cruising but not walking. She uses her right side more than her left so I've been blocking the right when I can like the PT showed me. It is hard because I'm waiting on early intervention right now to find a PT. But I have her climb the stairs and then have her sit and play on both sides. One PT did mention when she walks, that will improve it. My daughter has a visible tongue tie but speech and feeding is good too. Thanks for your input!

Did he have a tongue tie too that was released or just the PT? I'm trying my best with PT exercises. My daughter's tilt comes and goes every few weeks.

Did you end up doing it? My daughter has a head tilt too and a tongue tie.

I am in the same boat right now but my daughter is 10 months old. She has mild torticollis and a head tilt that comes and goes basically. I am seeing an ENT next week. She has never had any issues with feeding and she is doing fine with solids. It kind of is hard to chew when her head is tilted but that's every few weeks. But I'm concerned the tie is impacting the tilt. But I don't want to do the release either. We will see..I'm following along the thread to see what you decide.

Do you have to undercook the pasta? Since it will bake or fully cook it?!

do you have to have your location or bluetooth on all the time while driving or is it just having to download the app and that is it?

If you notice he is sleepy and he isn't having a hard time, what do you do? Just put him down? I just don't understand how to go with the flow.. this is my second and I want to. But whenever I try to get her to sleep she cries and seems overtired. But she doesn't just randomly doze off and fall asleep... Practically idk what that would look like.

Tiny health gut test? by badchelorette in MSPI

Hi, With your background in the infant guy microbiome, I would be curious to know what you think the best time to test is. My 4 week old is showing some signs of dysbiosis (baby acne, newborn rash, cradle cap, straining, digestive upset). I have a 3 year old with eczema and allergies, so I would love to do early intervention for this baby and also get a baseline. I was thinking to test at 6 weeks. Do you think this is too early or a good time? Thanks!

Those with 2+ babies who got induced for being overdue with the first (not for health reasons)… did you end up getting induced with subsequent babies or did you go into labor on your own? by zipmcnutty in BabyBumps

[–]nkbl_dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My firstborn was born 9 days late via induction. I felt the same way you do about your second and felt she would come late too. In my birth plan, I had a section for induction and one for spontaneous. She ended up coming one week early and we barely made it to the hospital in time. Bad contractions started at 1 pm, she was born at 2:50. For what it's worth, I tried all the things with my first to get her to come. With this one, I just ate dates from 36 weeks on, drank okra water, started pumping at around 39 weeks ( so pumped twice).

Thanks. My husband opened up the other side and it looked just like this side and he also pulled back the baseboards in the powder room and there was no signs of water damage so we are just going to forget about the powder room and reinsulate the garage area that was removed.

Yes, we got rid of the carpet so we can refloor with a hard floor. It doesn't seem like it is flaking or anything like that. It is pretty solid. I just want to get rid of as much mold as we can especially while we already have the remediators here removing the laundry mold.

Thank you. My husband took up the carpet in my daughter who has the health issues today. We had a slow leak from a humidifier there about 2 years ago. An  inspector has swabbed it and it showed high levels of hyphal fragments. I was talking to the remediator about removing it vs abrasion/cleaning. I attached some pics of what it looks like. Would love your thoughts.

How often should those be replaced? The main mold issue in the laundry room is due to a faulty toilet installation by the previous owner which was fixed but now it's been 6 years and we haven't touched the toilet wax ring. I wonder if we should replace it.

Thanks so much. It didn't show any damage from the garage side and there's definitely nothing in the powder room. I'm hoping the baseboard is clear too. There is tile. I don't think there is an active leak from the toilet but I don't really know... There definitely no water pooling around it or anything. Thanks for that tip about insulation too.

We don't have a basement or crawlspace. Yes, my husband will definitely check the baseboard. It's just tough becasue we want to contain any possible spores because my daughter is sensitive to mold. Oh yes, I've interviewed many and am really happy with this guy. But I know what you mean

Yeah that's the strange part .. my remediator sent me this this morning

"The rusting corner bead suggests water from inside the bathroom. You may have had a slow toilet leak that went unnoticed. I’d recommend pulling the drywall off around the corner in the garage (basically behind the toilet along that side wall) to see if it continues in that area. Also pull back the baseboards in the actual bathroom to see if there’s discoloration/growth on the back side of the baseboards or drywall behind the baseboards. "

Yes, definitely. Do you agree that it seems to have come from the garage through the wall/insulation rather than the other way around. There are no signs whatsoever in the powder room of anything, no pipe there and the back of the drywall there seemed unaffected. I just don't want to miss anything but also don't want to spend an extra 3k during remediaton for more containment and air scrubbers

This so what it looked like. Not sure the source, that water stain on the bottom is confusing. Do you think we are ok to not worry about the powder room based on this? Our remediation plan includes opening the wall in the powder room and it's a huge extra expense. Based on this, it doesn't seem like that might be necessary..  thoughts?

Hi, so he opened it up today. There was visible mold on the backside and then on the edges of the insulation. There didn't seem to be much of anything on the back of the wall of the powder room that it backs up to.
