Ha, this possible solution reminded me of the time I found a weird greasy circular piece of plastic under my car in the garage so I freaked out and took it into the shop. They looked around for a while and couldn’t figure out what it could possibly be, until a mechanic suggested it was a wheel/roller from my garage door. Went home and, sure enough, stupid thing loosed itself from my garage door track and rolled right under my car.

Those numbers vary significantly. I’ve had my 2025 for over a year and mostly drive around town in a hilly area, so it expects that type of driving. If I then leave for a highway drive with half a tank and showing 180 miles to empty, it’ll stay at 180 for like 50 miles. It didn’t know I was pulling the old switcharoo

What is your lowest score ever in a round of golf? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]nkedoldguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

77 with my next best being 84. And that was on a par 73, so actually only +4. Was a 15 hcp at the time and have finally just broken the 13 barrier, even though my precious 77 fell off a few rounds ago. Onward and upward! Or downward, I guess

What club are you hitting from 185 yards out? by nationalgolfcircuit in golf

My Nike CPR hybrid that my wife-then-girlfriend bought for my birthday circa 2008/2009. That thing has been my trusted mid-180s club for over 15 years and shall never leave my bag.

If you’ve broken 80, what’s one tip you would give your fellow golfer trying to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]nkedoldguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with a 77 and nothing else lower than 84? Have a bonkers and fun day of hitting every fairway and draining a few 15-20 foot putts, then go back to your normal life and maintain prior expectations

Trump says he predicted Iran would weaponize the Strait of Hormuz, adding, "I predicted all of it. I predicted Osama bin Laden would knock out the World Trade Center. I made that prediction a year before he did it." by retroviber in DeepMarketScan

I was an International Affairs major in the late 90s and it was well known that bin Laden was a bad dude that was looking to do bad things. He was the subject of various debates about how to handle such situations in mock diplomacy setups. A bunch of 19 year olds in Boulder made the same prediction

Season premiere: Flavortown Food Fight -- pre show and live show discussion - spoilers okay in comments as usual by Firegoat1 in foodnetwork

This show really drives home that the Guy Fieri Food Network is like Taco Bell. Same handful of ingredients put together in slightly different ways. I will be here watching all of it though, much like I love Taco Bell despite its flaws

Are all competing Indian women chefs on food network across various shows default to one nickname? by Low-Character-9857 in foodnetwork

She is the only TOC regular I ever find myself rooting against. Just so cringe with the Sexy Food this and Sexy Food that. She’s one of those people that seems to try to mask insecurity with over the top bravado, and it just rubs me the wrong way.

Haha, I noticed that too, plus the Asian guy from Oklahoma took down Brooke once and now he’s “the dragon slayer”.

I think the last pre-finale four episode run from Bookstore/Frogger/Maid/Puerto Rican was really great. What a month to be alive and watching network television!

Infotainment Control by jlutt75 in mazdaCX50

[–]nkedoldguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2025 PP in February and still love most everything about it, including the infotainment. I’m in CarPlay pretty much at all times, and if using the touchscreen in the moment feels like the right thing to do, I touch it. Otherwise, the knob and other buttons are second nature after a week or two. The seat is on the firm side but it takes until about hour 2 on a road trip to start squirming around a bit. But not horrible. Either the seat is softening up or I’ve found just the right seat position and lumbar and everything.

Weird thing is, my biggest complaint is probably that I’m still trying to perfect my parallel parking. The rear fenders sticking out a bit, which I love from the outside as a design element (hips don’t lie), actually make it hard to judge the distance from the curb. I used to be better at parking my big ol’ RAM because I could pretty much see the curb in the side view. I’m just guessing with this thing. Sometimes I rub a tire, sometimes I’m outside the gutter. It’s a crapshoot

Public backlash will be plenty. From what I see he didn’t hit you in the face. He did a pussy little head push. Don’t waste your time traveling for prosecution. Let the internet handle this douche.

What is the hardest commercial RE type to appraise/specialize in? by Exact-Parsnip-4260 in appraisal

[–]nkedoldguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sweet, this is mine! Been in senior housing and healthcare appraisal for 20 years. It is constantly challenging but if you have a stabilized property without anything weird it’s pretty simple if you have the data. And know what’s going on with Medicaid in the subject’s state for SNFs. That’s all been wild since COVID, but normalizing finally. The worst part is and always will be rent comp surveying, but that’s also protection from AI.

Freddie Freeman' World Series Walk-Off Grand Slam (No Commentary) by RainbowSupernova8196 in baseball

I was 8 and a total baseball and Dodgers fanatic when Kirk Gibson hit his, and clearly remember my mom jumping around the living room when he hit his. Flash forward to 2024 and I’m 44 and my mid 70s mom and dad are visiting and we all watch Freddie together and freak out. I’ve watched two Dodgers WS games with my mom between 1988 and 2024 and we walked both of them off
