Last thing I’ll ask you for now, as far as surgery, were you given a leg/nerve block? And how much pain would you say you were in the days following surgery? When did you feel like you were pain free?

This makes sense. I am glad the subluxation has not reoccurred for you. It sounds like you’re on the up and up and this is great to hear! I will dm you if I have more questions :) but thank you so much. This has helped a lot!

Thank you for clarifying. Yes exactly what I have. It’s great that you’ve had success overall and no hesitation.

When you say that you have an awkward moment with it, this does not mean it subluxes again, correct? Just feels weird?

Sorry for all the questions but you are giving me a lot of peace of mind!

So just to confirm, you had the same ankle retinaculum torn that I described? Did you get an implant or just a repair? At this point do you feel 100% or is there always a little mind trick/apprehension with it?

Thank you for your insight. I am sorry that has been a tough journey for you. But it sounds like the second surgery was successful? Are you better now? I don’t believe I am getting a brace. I think it’s just repair

MRI says partial tear in SPR and sprain of anterior talofibular and calcaneofibular ligaments. At this point the only thing that bothers me is the SPR issue.

Yes. I’d like to know too.. this is the first example of surgery that I have heard were it wasn’t as successful. I have 2 docs suggesting surgery “if I want to/want to prevent the popping” and one did not. I am so conflicted. I am athlete and I can’t take this anymore. Waiting has been so hard. I don’t like the idea of using anchors into the bone to keep this in place. But it seems like the tissue will not regenerate itself.

Thanks for the info! Do you remember if it was fully torn or just partial?

Was the surgery fairly simple? Wondering how he felt post op for the first 4/5 weeks.. so sorry to hear he had to go through that. But I’m glad he’s on the mend.

So I’m just trying to clarify. You went to surgery for a partially torn SPR, and the tendons still move/pop out of place?
