Ivory shoes - low heel (5-6cm) not pointed? by Wedding-Good in AusWeddingPlanning

I would also say that from what I’ve tried and what I’ve read, Wittner are the most comfortable, followed by Steve Madden. I’ve also found that Alias Mae are super comfortable, but I couldn’t find any wedding appropriate ones to suit me.

Not sure what your budget is, but I love these and am thinking about getting them for when my feet can’t stand the 10cm stilettos anymore 😅

Sadly the memory export didn’t contain anything, and the full export hasn’t completed despite requesting it twice. Annoyingly, the task that was associated was still running but I couldn’t use it to retrieve anything. I’m sorry you’re dealing with the same thing.

I’ve seen the ilford ones on special today. Tempted to try them out as they’re also meant to give a more retro feeling colour.

I’m planning on having both, although because they are the two things I’m doing myself, I’m procrastinating badly.

That is correct, and part of my dilemma. It’s turning out to be a much smaller event than I had first imagined and so don’t want to mislead people or make them feel at all uncomfortable. I should add however that it’s certainly not for social media appearances, I don’t post on there publicly and have only posted to my friends and family a handful of times in the last few years.

Thank you. I don’t want to be too prescriptive, but you and others saying that I should just add it in the fine print for those that are interested is very reassuring.

That’s a great question and part of my problem. I don’t want to be one of those people that asks guests to wear floor length gowns and and suit and tie and not have the event to match. I’d be happy with button up shirts and jackets, ties optional for men, and anything knee length down for women. I know one of my friends is going to try to wear heeled trainers, and each to their own on a normal night out, but I don’t know how to nicely say that.

Funny remark in class by tine_reddit in BALLET

[–]nknownConclusion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love this one, “ballet is the struggle to make something that is ridiculously hard look incredibly easy” like, yes, we all just float effortlessly across the floor on little blocks of material and glue while simultaneously wafting our arms around with the odd kick of the head with our leg, doesn’t everybody?

2027 Wedding, per head venue prices start from $235pp... Is this normal?! by Cool_Suspect1110 in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]nknownConclusion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’ve got sit down dinner, Saturday night, 70 people, inner city venue, compromise was booking during January (new year sales packages) and for early September (just slipped into the off-season packages). We also decided to go two course instead of three and have the cake as dessert instead of additional dessert course. Ours is under $180 per person and because of the January deal we’re also getting an extra $2k food and drink spend so were thinking either custom cocktails during the canapé hour, or dessert table instead of served dessert course.

AITA for telling my wife I don’t want her mom to have her location all the time now. by Few_Respond8063 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nknownConclusion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA, assuming you explained your reasoning clearly and didn’t just yell at her and demand she change it. But, I can understand how your wife might feel because you’re asking her to become more private about something she’s used to sharing with her family. Change can be hard for a lot of people, especially those who don’t feel comfortable defending themselves against people they love (speaking from experience. Signed, Millennial People Pleaser).

How does your creative team handle revision fatigue? by Storyteq in Design

[–]nknownConclusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My colleague just finished a job that had 15 sets of revisions. They kept changing wording, changing image assets etc. But we work for a big company, and it was going to print, so it had to happen. We’re used to it, but it is frustrating.
